You may add that. Make sure your flight itinerary shows the multicity. Do well to follow the Coronavirus story in the Schengen region. Stay safe. mikylon: 2 Likes |

No , you cannot apply from another country except you have a valid residence permit of that country. You can visit France and apply for a visa from there evergreen9: |

Good afternoon. Please can someone advise me. I will provide some context. My fiancé lives in Lagos, we would like to travel to Paris for Easter. He currently works for a reputable company, however he only earns #265,000. He has no additional income, however he can be financially supported by me and his family. We have previously visited Dubai together (Nov’19), the visa process was fairly straight forward. In regards to applying for a French visa, in his introduction letter are there any specific things he should mention? (i.e. That I’ll be travelling with him). I will be arranging the hotel reservation, would it be better if it was in his name? Lastly, ideally how much should he have in his account during the visa process/interview stage please? Please can I be advised on how heavily the embassy scrutinises, bank statements- will he need to account for the funds in his account? Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. 1 Like |

Good evening guys, please i need to know if it is absolutely necessary to submit tax clearance when submitting company bank statement. I would also like to know if it will be easier for me to get a transit visa as i will be travelling to the States via Air France. I have been issued a French refusal before. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Cyberknight: 7:55pm On Feb 28, 2020 |
mulannoire: Whose company bank statement are you referring to, that of an established company in Nigeria for which you work and which is sponsoring your trip, or is the company one you operate? In the first case, no tax clearance is necessary, from what I know, generally most established companies do not provide bank statements when securing visas for employees on work trips. If you are transiting between different airports in Paris (I'm assuming between Orly and CDG or vice versa), then you will need a valid Schengen visa. If you have a ticket that requires an airport change, check with Air France immediately and see if they will change it to eliminate the airport transfer before you go through the whole transit visa procedure. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mulannoire(f): 9:41pm On Feb 28, 2020 |
Cyberknight: Thank you sir. I want the visa not just for the transit alone but to be able to spend about 48 hours in Paris. The company is one i own with inflow of about 350 to 400k monthly. I also have an account that receives about 700k monthly from an fx investment. My savings bal is currently 1.3m. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Cyberknight: 10:32pm On Feb 28, 2020 |
mulannoire: I see. I don't have a company I operate myself, but a friend of mine does and he always presents tax clearance along with his company documents when renewing his Schengen visas. If you want to spend about 48 hours in Paris, you'll need a Schengen C visa. I would advise you not to ask for 48 hours except you have something specific you need to do in France on your way to the US (e.g. an important meeting with a business partner) that warrants that. Instead, prepare an itinerary for a few days as normal then adjust your trip as you decide when you get the visa. 1 Like |

Colourisblack: For a single man, his income of 265k monthly should be enough to finance a holiday for himself without needing any financial assistance from anyone else. I wouldn't mention any financial support from you or his family because it makes no sense for a ostensibly gainfully employed adult to be financed by someone else for a holiday. The hotel reservation should be in his name. As much as possible, let him try to present the impression that he is able to afford this vacation himself. The Europeans don't generally scrutinise account flows the way the British do for instance, but he should still avoid making big deposits that serve to inflate his account balance, irrespective of their origin. |

Please I need urgent advice. I was at the VFS Abuja office to submit today and was told that I am meant to submit in Lagos VFS office owing to my residential address. I am almost frustrated considering the fact that I have already traveled from a distance with my wife and little child to submit in Abuja. I was given an option to submit only if I write an undertaken stating reasons why I need to submit my application in Abuja. Please can someone advice me on what option to take and if there’s been anybody who was in this same situation. 3 Likes |
