Nani667 busuyi44 Olayinkajnr Grandmufti etc please i need suggestions on the best rom to be used as I'm planning to flash a new rom on my phone tonight.

Thin is, Resurrection Remix, Lineage OS and Havoc OS are the only roms that supports my phone (Nextbit Robin) Officially... I am presently running LineageOS on it and its been on it for like 4 months now so i wanna try something else.. Not sure if i should use any of those other 2 (Resurrection and HavocOS) supported roms..

I actually love some other roms but they're not supporting my phone... I love the CrDroid particularly and i saw the Unofficial version of it for my phone on a website as well as Unofficial versionsvfor my phone of some other roms that their Official releases are not supporting my phone. Guys please, what do you think about installing an unofficial release of a custom Rom? Does it have eny negative effect compared to installing the Official releases? Thanks

It all depends on preference. If you love just stock feel, then you can stay on Lineage OS.

If you want one that'll afford you the opportunity to customise your phone to your taste, Resurrection Remix it is and/or CrDroid. Havoc OS is in-between.

If I have a port of Resurrection Remix, I'll definitely go with RR.

Official is just a tag. Not difference from unofficial.

Plus, official means, it has a dedicated maintainer and support from the ROM developers and/or teams.

Oh yea it is.. It seems RR has also stopped rolling out updates for now

I even joined their Telegram group and i saw a message there that they have indefinitely suspended creation of Android 10 (Q) for now. So no RR is running Android Q on any device at the moment..

Well i guess I'll just manage this for like a month and see if updates will be rolled out or not even if there wont be Android Q updates yet, at least the security updates... But if after then no hope in sight, I'll be forced to seek for an alternative Rom.

RR is dead. The development is on the verge of stopping. That's if they've not stopped it self.

Probably you have to wait a specified number of days before using it to unlock another device

You can dirty flash the update and it'll do.

Can someone guide me on how to root redmi note 7 running on miui 11 global rom and unlocked.

I tried it but after flashing image recovery image and booting to recovery, the phone locks me out until I factory reset it and connect the phone via hotspot to unlock it with my mi password.

Did you boot into recovery immediately after flashing or you restarted your phone?

The first time, I did via the CMD fastboot command. It just rebooted instead of showing me the twrp recovery mode.

I did the second time by holding the volumeup + power button and releasing them after seeing the redmi logo. The phone just showed me a black locked page to input my password.
