Even most of the information we shared here comes from the group... some faithful nairalanders will then come here to share them.

I believe we are all aware information we get on whatsapp are first hand.. and it is really interesting when discussion is going on..

no one is neglecting nairaland platform.. but is not as fast as getting notifications from whatsapp.. I am not the one who created the platform but I know many have benefited from it one way or the other.. You also have the chance of meeting new people and having their contact..

Let me first apologize for what I'm about to say. I don't know if I'm out of line for saying this, but honestly this particular thread seems like one of the most selfish thread on nairaland job section.

Firstly I didn't apply for either the subeb or Tescom job, but a relative did and I only came across the thread trying to help her source for info about the Tescom job. I was able to get little info here in addition to the ones she sourced elswhere and Fortunately for her she got the tescom job.

One thing I noticed from the point I joined this particular thread was the fact that there's a kind of apathy about giving full details of info gotten from different sources; People giving piece meal info when they could give it out in full. I don't know maybe because it's a job people applied for in thousands and there's a believe that if the info is shared in full it will give the other person advantage over u.

I remember 2015 while I was sourcing for info about KPMG graduate trainee, it was a thread like this that had discussed about the programme in the previous years I had to read tru for detailed info posted by those who had done same in the past. Well, after I did my assessment centre and couldn't progress further, I sharedy experience in the 2015 thread stating the things I did right and areas where I feel I flunked it.

Fast forward to 2017, I had moved on to something better, then I got a pm which I replied . The sender had seen my 2015 post on the old thread, had used it for the test stage and wanted to get the assessment centre right. I gave him one or two tips and other things which I learnt personally on my job elsewhere. It actually helped him and he aced it.

What I'm saying is this; The info u share here concerning the nature of tests written, oral interviews, the form Ur micro teaching took and and even the gaffes u think may have made will go a long way to help somebody else in the future. While sharing all that on a whatsapp group may seem cool at the moment, know that such whatsapp groups will never be beneficial to people coming behind who won't have access to such groups ( the group will probably be deleted immediately the recruitment process is concluded)

Think of the info u drop here as giving back to nairaland community. The idea of dropping numbers and creating whatsapp group just seem like a very selfish one.

This is just my opinion about the whole stuff.

well, as a matter of fact... Technology is improving everyday.. that doesn't mean nairaland will not get same information as from the whatsapp...

no selfish interest... if there is latest we will also inform and post it here... it's not necessary you join the platform...
