It's not even considered, there is no correlation between COREN and Masters.

I'm was really surprised to hear it. The guy did his first degree in elect elect and he is saying that he applied to BUK and they said he must be COREN registered or go do PGD for two years first.

have you applied to do master's recently? The requirements might have changed. Have you seen the new PTDF scholarship requirements? They just included membership of a professional body as a criteria

It can't be , you have to look at what it takes to become a COREN registered ,the lastest in COREN and will kick off 2021 ,you must have HND ,PGD and masters before you can go for COREN registration. It's your academic qualifications that qualifies you for COREN and NSE not the other way round.

I'm beginning to feel that they intentionally released the GT knowing fully well that the EHs will not make any serious noise if recruitment is swept under the carpet. No source just my thought.

What about HND holders that goes through PGD route? Oga information is free of charge, try do your study before saying it's untrue. By 2021 that route will be closed, it is not difficult to check through that information .

This is the current practice and still valid till 2021 ,and so if you have HND and PhD don't wait further this is the best time to register.

You work with COREN?

I studied E/E too and i got admitted in same institution for MSc, with no PGD or COREN. If the y asked him to do PGD first That means he has a very low CGPA (third class or less), and tge rule applies for all Nigerian Universities. But as for COREN, am hearing this for the first time.

I am a COREN registered and i registered through the NSE route ,those who attended last year COREN assembly should be aware of this. The normal route is to pass through NSE and not through the direct COREN route. But for sometime now the direct COREN window has been opened.

The simple argument was whether COREN now requires master's before Engineers could Abe registered and I have shared the current requirements for registration according to COREN website which prooved false.

Maybe you didn't see where i wrote by end of 2021 the HND /PGD route will be scrapped except you top it with M.Eng .
