You got it spot on sir. Alonso can be a liability at s back,but when there's an extra CB and he's given the license to roam forward, then he's one of the very best in Europe. In fact,he's the best statistically speaking,cos no full/wing-back has scored more goals since he joined in 2017. He's got about 19 or so now

Ampadu is good. A strong tackler. Last season some said that he was being prepared for that Jorginho role - as a possible backup - with the under 20/developmental squad as he possesses some things that Jorginho is lacking such as strength and the ability to win the ball. But as with Chelsea, everything gets factory set at the end of the season.

But a 3 man defence issa different disposition. The duties of a LWB are not the same as that of a LB. The former gives more room for the "full back" to operate more on offence,almost like a "winger".
