"In the last 2 weeks, I have used the Abuja International Airport twice, London Heathrow Airport four times and Washington Dulles Airport twice. I also used the London Underground trains twice. I only saw precautionary preventive efforts against #COVID19 was in Nigeria.

Traveling out of Abuja Airport, you are screened by a thermal imaging machine, which you may not notice. Coming back into Abuja, you are given a form to fill while still in the plane. The form collects your contact details, where you’ve been and your recent health status.

When you land, a health worker checks that you fully completed the form. If you didn’t, you are pulled aside and made to fill it. Once you pass the heath worker, there are signs asking whether you have been to China recently. Another health worker is watching the thermal images.

At Immigration, all the Immigration, DSS and FAAN officials are all wearing face masks. There was nothing of such at Heathrow. At Dulles, an Immigration officer only asked me when last I visited China and took my finger prints. I was the one that asked for a hand sanitiser.
Having been at airports in “saner climes” where there were no visible screenings and in packed London Underground trains where every sneeze is viewed suspiciously, I am encouraged by the efforts that @NCDCgov and @Fmohnigeria are making to protect us all. Good morning"-Dr. Joe Abah

This is a patriot saying it as it is.

I know this observations will be bad news to some lots who have used previous threads to lambast The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the administration of His Excellence President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR)

Some people who have never even seen the painting of an Airport, how much more been to an airport or step foot on a different continent had the audacity and effrontery to lambast the FGN. They be judging Nigeria from what the watch in Hollywood movies.

Once again, Kudos to the patriot.

Ok

I landed at MMA from the US on Delta last week and this man is right on the money. At MMA we were made fill a full page questionnaire regardless of which passport you are using for entry. On arrival, they collected the forms and checked for temperature abnormalities. Also, I noticed a monitor that is taking our temperature as we walk closer to the officers.
I'm impressed with the level of preparation at MMA. There was zero precautions while leaving from Atlanta airport, zero precaution.

they have recorded deaths in those countries together even with their pre measures. Another theory is that may be the virus can thrive in hot weather like ours. Time will tell. The way the virus comes, it will soon go. It's purely biological weapon in a test run... China and America know what they are doing..

For a starter, I personally felt fed did not do enough in preventing the first case. It's not a crime if NIgeria successfully repel any case of ConViD-19.

Secondly, those countries' health systems are light years ahead of ours.

It makes sense for people to be apprehensive against a very leathal virus: of which an outbreak could lead to massive lost of lives (considering our level of technology).

Once again I am not impressed with the idea of allowing people from ConViD-19 infested countries to enter NIgeria by merely filling forms.

Dr. Joe just said it as it is.. Heathrow airport was like its normal self.. non of the officials were putting on face mask even though the country already has an high infection rate..
Coming into MMA1 was like walking into a war zone.. with all its checks and officials ready for the inevitable, I was surprised when I saw the news that there was no screening at the airport.

Paid advert? If you have not been opportune to travel recently, you should have at least a family member or friend who has, why not verify?
