My dad got his first uk visa Dec 2019, visited the UK in Jan 2020 for 5 weeks like he stated in his visa application and returned to Nigeria. This Visa expires in July 2020. my question is...can he visit the uk again in June 2020 for three weeks with the same 6 month visa? Anyone has experience using their six month uk visit visa multiple times? please advise a brother.... 1 Like |

Hello House, i am planning to apply for a visit visa to the UK In April with the help of my step father who is a british citizen. he will be inviting me and he would also be my sponsor. meanwhile i have a job which pays 200,000.00 monthly, they recently just increased my salary from 60,000.00 to 200,000.00 because i was on probation while i was collecting 60,000.00. note that my uncle had already invited me twice, which my visa was refused because i didnt have a close ties in nigeria back in 2017. my question is, is it bad if my step father invite me instead of my uncle who had invited me before. and also since my step father will be dropping his statement of account , can i submit my 3 months salary account? my disposable income is 100,000.00 just for proof that i'm actually working or does it have to be six months? please help. i'm confused. |

Good day all, I collected my passport today and sadly I was refused. I tried to explain the source of some deposits as some of the deposits in which the narration also explains what the deposit was for. But I am guessing because I didn't provide supporting documents. But the gurus will help throw more light and advise me on what to do next.

Chijiuba: The ECO doesn’t appreciate UK family tie when it comes to visiting visa, they would believe your dad would help you overstay and get paper in UK. Therefore they gonna continue to give unreasonable excuse to refuse you. Even though you have explained the funds, Well try to provide proof of the irregular funds deposited into your account and reapply and let’s see if they come up with another excuse |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Chijiuba: 12:10pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
But in my application, I stated I have a wife and a son (which I provided detail, passport, family photographs, birth certificates etc). which served as my strong ties to Nigeria. The irregular funds are funds like 200k etc which was in payment for some gig which I did. and those funds were not even available as at the time I printed my statement my closing balance was my salary. I am quite sad about the outcome. Because I tried to be as truthful as I could be. Darvick: |

Pardon me asking 1. Are you worker earning steady salary? Did you get a letter of introduction from your employer corroborating this? 2. What is your disposable income monthly? The issue I see here is that the ECO is not fully convinced that you have a steady source of income you will return to in Nigeria coupled with the risk of you staying behind with your father in the UK. Perhaps if you shed more light into what you stated in your application, it might help us all to advise you on what to do. Chijiuba: |

bigtt76: 1. I am a worker earning steadily, which I provided my employment letter and series of salary increments over the years (5 letters of increment across the years). I also provided an introduction letter and my ID Card, my salary has been consistent on a particular date of the month which my statement captured it with the narration. I also provided my payslip to reflect all. 2. My disposable income is 100k. 3. Like I stated above my strong ties are my wife and child which I also provided information about them. 4. my budget was 600k |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by bigtt76(f): 12:53pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
Thanks for sharing. My thoughts here 1. Your budget of N600K is more than two months of your disposable income. Look into reducing it or increasing your disposable income 2. Stop using your salary account for private gigs etc ...open a separate bank account for that. All the ECO wants to see is steady inflow of salary paid by your employer into the account to convince him you have a steady employment. Any other deposit triggers a red flag that if not properly explained with documented evidence would be counter productive. 3. You may also look into adding a cover letter to explain clearly all the inflows into your account 4. Ties with family is good Chijiuba: 3 Likes |

bigtt76: 2. I think that is where I made a mistake. 3. I explained but I did not provide supporting documents (eg agreement, mails etc). Than you for pointing out my flaws. Kindly advise where I should go from here. 2 Likes |

I can't upload my documents and my dates has not been updated. please someone should help me please. I'm applied for self-service and I got a mail accordingly which also states my appointment date. What could be wrong? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by davodyguy: 1:04pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
akanke79: Not sure it is. I am applying for my mum now and I opted for the Free UK Ikeja Service, but i had to pay N37,000 to get an appointment for Wednesday 4th March. I also opted for Self service and uploaded Documents myself online. Visa fee paid was $128 + N37,000 |

Check the page 2 of the refusal letter to see if you have an option to appeal else you would need to correct all of these then look towards reapplying in 3-6 months time. All the best Chijiuba: |

isentropic: It won’t affect your renewal, just state in the additional info page that you later got busy and couldn’t use the visa to travel |

Chijiuba:But you know on this thread it is overly emphasized... every unusual deposit doesnt sit well with them.. you must show paper evidence of the origin of these funds. Especially if you already have a previous denial on ur neck, why give them reason to be doubted Why exactly did u overlook this? U can save up consistently for the next 6 months and avoid any deposits in ur salary account. This was d only downfall. They saw ur cover letter but still dont have proof of the money and where it came from. 3 Likes |

Sulis:There’s no rush... keep ur step father sponsoring you out of it .. U are an adult. Working. How then do u want the eco to see ur new stability if u still need ur step father to sponsor ur trip? He can provide accommodation and probably feeding, not to sponsor the WHOLE trip. you have been denied before. Ur chances are down. U earn a better salary now . Save up for 6months, get a good account balance and sponsor your trip. Reduce ur disposable income to 20 to 30k and stay this way for the 6 months if you not married. Try also and have 6 months statement of account. 1 Like |

I guess I got carried away that since the deposits were not in any way influencing my current balance in my salary account and then the narrations of the deposits were clearly stated...well the truth is I don't have any excuse tho because I have seen those warnings on this thread but felt explaining would do it. I overlooked the little details and that cost me. giselle237: |
