So how do we stop getting dumb people all over?
What I know about Nigeria is that once a person is smart/intelligent, he runs away from the country to Europe, Canada, USA... and never comes back.
That means all the smart people are outside Nigeria and they are not voting for any of our leaders.

Why can't these smart people comeback and change things around?

Not until prepaid metre get to every house in Nigeria, there will be no stable light.
Before you quote me ask yourself the last time you call mtn or glo to complain about no network.
With prepaid metre, it will be a case of no light, no payment.

The first Nigerian to make sense in March.

If you are in Akwa ibom make sure u attend the meeting that will hold on 5th this month by 11am.
These criminals need to be addressed.
Their spokes person claimed on air that Akwa Ibom is owing over #26b.
He claim that people owe them much. But as a business man if you establish a business and you see that their is more of expenses instead of gain the best step is to shut down.
Why are they not shutting down instead using estimated bill to extort customers.
Welrez:
I thought Akwa Ibom State was the only state suffering from these guys exploitative tactics.

Very good. PHED should be one of the most useless Discos in Nigeria.

I used to boost about having at least 20 hours of light a day. But since this 2020, they have decided to give us light only at night.

I don't know what the issue is, we have not had light for 5 days now.

Their licences should be revoked.
Same with my area in Woji. Since this year, power has been epileptic despite prepaid meters.

Not all calls are made over the network. You can call their attention by going to their office

Power companies in Nigeria are subject to price controls.

Even the recent price raise is.dictated to them by NERC

What happens when your leaders are lairs. The boss, a questionable professor and SAN, once said there was no reason a government could not fix power problems in six months. He is there for six years now and things keep worsening. Yet, shamelessly, he keeps manufacturing more lies and getting applause from his con circus group on their way to new levels of rigging, tyranny and destruction of any remaining modicum of humanity in the land, to 2023. Are we not finished as a nation and race?

Ph that are complaining have better light than us in akwa Ibom who are even paying the huge chunk of the bills.

We pay estimated bills from 8000 to 19k. Yet no light. But they pay lower and metered bills and are protesting.

seriously ehn, PHED dey really dull person hustle in this my part of town.

N am beginning to think that in places where there's epileptic power supply in Nigeria, such areas should start requesting for Prepaid Meters

In my own area of Port Harcourt, sometimes in 4 to 5 straight days, there'll be no power supply at all, and when it finally comes it doesn't even last up to 6hrs out of 24hrs of the whole day.
Yet the bills keep coming at the end of each month. ...so annoying angry

Prepaid Meters is the only way forward; that way, No power supply to consumers equals No payment into NEPA's account by customers at the end of each month.

If not for capitalism the world would not have seen this level of improvement in 200 years.
Was it capitalism that made China, Norway, South Korea or Russia great? Are they practicing capitalism anywhere in Europe. Go and search for info. Nations design economic systems that can serve them best and any system can only work depending on the extent it uses merit or cronyism as the basis of recruiting her elite. The Nigerian system is an expired brand of capitalism and our problems are worsened by lack of regard for merit. This ethnic balance, that we seek, has never and will never save or evolve progress. If we can't respect ability above any other factors (religion, language, state, old boys, denomination or sect) we better split to our basic units so as to be able to start searching for how to join the global development train.

Oga most Discos wouldn't mind shutting down power given to residential customers and concentrate on the heavy users. If they do it, still the same residential customers will carry placard that they haven't seen light in years
