Good morning everyone. I inherited some units of NB and UACN shares, I want to ask if I should sell now or hold on till price picks up again. Thanks

I am going to be a bit sentimental, why do you want to sell an inheritance?

There is no big deal in selling your inheritance, provided the proceeds will be well utilized by him

2% of a country with 100m people will have 2m deaths. No be chicken dey die o. Human beings.

At a point I was asking myself all these '100 new deaths added', are they not humans that are counted as ordinary number.

And where there is no cure or vaccine, there is instant panic.

And any disease that is communicable and that needs quarantine destroys economy. Because you close a section of the business or sector to prevent further spread.

Market is pricing in the economic effect that will come after the deaths, diseases.

Let's put things in proper perspectives now. Imagine Air China flies into Nigeria 3 times a day, everyday. A ban on air China means that the Company that supplies fuel for refuelling the plane in Nigeria will be in crisis. Those baggage companies that support airline passenger boarding and disembarkment are in trouble. Hotels that support huge number of chinese tourist are in trouble. Shopping Malls will have reduced patronage. The person that supplies groceries to the hotel is in trouble. Airport taxis waiting to pick passengers will have reduced passengers. There are huge cascading effects.

Open your mind and see the effect.

Similar to what I just explained to someone here with me at the airport.

Imagine businesses that rely on importations from China. Even NIPOST has stopped handling inbound items from China.

The ripple effect is all over the world.

I hope the newbies that recently joined NSE and bought shares are aware of the situation of things and have plan in place.
I hope you set your stop loss also.......except for someone that opted for long term.
The market would not have been like this but for the corolla virus.
This time too shall pass by God's grace.

You can sell 80% of the inherited shares and use the proceeds to buy money market mutual funds or Eurobond funds, while observing the happenings in the market

could be a pullback to go lower
could also be a bottom; it's a strong support

Zenith of #18.05 and GTB of #22.70 pay the same amount of dividend, #2.50 for q4 and the final of #2.80 when added with interim dividend.
It's indeed a good one for dividend investors, their current prices are at give away price, and at bonanza offer junction.

There is a high probability the support would hold (at least for the week)

next opec+ meeting is March 5-7 (barely 3 days away)

Russia (the major dissenting voice) seems to be realigning to a cut (Putin body language last week not minding his bragaddo that they are comfortable with price at 50 cos thier budget benchmark was 40)

Plus US rig count is going down (3 weeks consequtively) and u shld also expect the corovirus to also affect the supply / supply chain of oil too (though at a slower pace than it wld affect demand)

but if Opec+ does not cut / extend current cut then na to run 4 by 400 race cos then oil wld surely dance konko below to lower - mid 30

Of what use is holding on to an inheritance that once traded at N193(NB) and N78.21(UACN), that now sell at N40.50 and N7.40 respectively, when it can be sold to purchase some fundamentally sound stocks that are selling at a bargain(and will further be available at a serious bargain)? - Zenith at "after markdown price" will be a good place to invest such proceeds.

He does not want his story to be likened to that of "The Parable of the Talents". Even the one who left the inheritance will not be happy if he does not make a sound decision regarding the stocks.

Wetin I know sef? I b newbie ooo cheesy cheesy cheesy

Unfortunately, those in cash now will still miss the bargain. Why? Because they are trying to time the market!

Zenith should give such chance between Friday next week or first working day of the month of March. Some of their good faithful are waiting to increase their volume for investment purpose not for jijo purpose.
I came across this post.
It really happened at appointed time. It's all for an increase and investment purposes.
