Hopefully this is a learning curve for him.
Hopefully, really. If he is not confident with most of the playing staff, the summer is a chance to change that. He will have no excuses next season.

You are absolutely right about the primary reason for our El exit and I have clarified on that before now even during the game.

I was looking at the scenario of the first goal and trying to analyse it. Fans have tagged it on Leno but it was Ozil who didn't check his man. Same goes to Socrates for the second.

Hmmm... To me, ozil isn't the worst o. The first header, I don't know who to blame tho, cos they just all allowed the guy free run, and as zonal marking, I don't expect ozil(of all people o), to chase that guy. At least, I know his limitations.
2nd goal isn't sokratis fault. That's fully on Leno for conceding the corner. Just kick your ball in, I trust Martinez for that. Also Luiz is to blame to. I mean head that ball out, he ducked away, allowing a simple tap in on the far post. It's so so sad. Further more, our attackers are bad...I still don't understand why he's alienating Martinelli of all people. When we all know he's a decent goalscorer. Not putting him in league, then Europa u benched him, wen you know he's our highest goal scorer, then you're putting him at extra time 2nd half. Like who does that. Me I'm still critical of Pepe tho.. He needs to learn how to hit the ball hard. Most of his ball are tame shots.

Also about the 442 ish, we'll need a very strong dmf and a cm with high work rate, which neither xhaka or ceballos is, thus our midfield will easily be bypassed. Also, we'll need clinical forwards, Pepe isn't clinical enough neither is lacazette. It might be good on paper but to be sincere, that formation won't work with our personnel we're parading.
I get your views. I think it's now affecting mine. Good points.

Me, am still hurting about our Europa League exit that I don't have it in me to celebrate Liverpool's potential unbeaten run being broken.

I still don't understand why Martinelli was on the bench all through out the game and Lacazzete was misfiring, or how Pepe was busy show boating and no one cautioned him.

As for Leno, I don't know what is his problem, inexperience, I guess... undecided

Arteta has a lot work to do. He should take the blame but not all of it. The players have to take some responsibility too.

I hope we don't sell Aubamablootclatyang Sha... sad

If I talk now!

The changes in the midfield and attack look good and it is good to see Mari get his first start but this man will run the defense to the ground eh!

Why is Holding not starting in place of Luiz? How about Niles at RB in place of Sok? or Sok for Luiz? As for Saka, it is obvious we are intentionally choosing to run him to the ground. I just hope this does not mean Lacazette will start against Westham! angry

he could have played 3 man defence and use wing back then rest saka.
I'm worried about the boy

Well, Portsmouth have built a castle on the left side of their attack and guess who is playing RB? Sok!

Torreira out injured with what looks like a knee injury, replaced by Ceballos. What a season!!!!!

Sokratis with a snapping shot to give us the lead.

1-0 Arsenal

I was going to call out Nelson for being useless on the right side of our attack, then he sends in that cross from the right side which finds his partner on the right wings and it's a goal cool
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by BlueRayDick: 9:42pm On Mar 02, 2020
Thus far, seems Pablo Mari is equally a ball playing CB like Luiz. He's not afraid to pass the ball into space when he sees one.

I just wish Xhaka can at least take one to tgree steps with the ball at his feet like Caballos does. Seeing Ceballos move with the ball instead of passing sideways and subtly killing off attacking intent at times can be frustrating.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 9:53pm On Mar 02, 2020
Torreira's injury is not as bad as initially feared. Hopefully, subsequent scans support this claim from the medical team.

You wan kill xhaka, the guy na any where belle face he will return your pass the same place the ball was passed to him he won't move an inch

I know he'll feel like, nobody to replace Saka. But he just need to make that boy rest. Not only is he still young, but he's playing games every 3-4 days which is for players at their peak mostly of age 24-27.

If he starts lacazette against west ham, then, I know his head is touching little by little.

Also, wat have AMN done that he's not making the squad again.
Isn't it baffling?

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by BlueRayDick: 11:04pm On Mar 02, 2020
If we want to be taken serious as a team, we should dispose Xhaka to free space in the middle for a player who will actually perform as a proper DM or CM in that midfield. Having a physical player who rarely passes forward, frequently fouls without winning ball from opposing players and refuses to play to the strength of his player is not what is required of a team that wants to be considered as challenging for the title next year.

It's better arsenal tries to buy Ceballos, then sell off Xhaka to free space for a physical midfielder who will be willing to contribute more to attack. I'm tired of seeing Xhaka playing all because he's the only player that is assumed to have physical strength in the middle, but yet we keep praying and hoping he doesn't get booked for a rash challenge when he's not busy playing the ball back to the defence.

I think if Pablo Mari remains a ball playing defender like he's shown in glimpses this night, getting a strong midfielder to replace Xhaka who will provide cover for the CB won't be bad
