Why is it that none of the contacts with the Nigerian index case have tested positive?
The answer is centered on vulnerability. Healthy people like you might be infected without even knowing it and still walk around.
The point is, in Nigeria there is no such residence for cluster of vulnerable individuals. People close to such conditions are either death or living in private homes in Nigeria, therefore the chances of cross contamination is very slim.

In Africa Typhoid n Malaria,cold n catarh and respiratory related diseases are so common....that it hardly scares anyone.

And to be honest since the Covid 19, symptoms are similar ,i dont think in true sense,it scares Africans,yes the Western world might not take our researches and local herbs serious,but i bet you ,if they cared enough,the solution might be in Africa.

There is this herbal cleanser sold at Alaba market for just 500 naira,my pharmacy told me ho ha,that nothing cures typhoid fever as fast as the herb,but they have to make money from very expensive antibiotics.

Though we dont have the much advanced health facilities ,yet some very sick people still live up to 80 to 100 years over here in remote villages..There will always be sicknesses and there will always be cures.

These are places were in most cases very fragile, vulnerable, sick and old people are cared for. Majority of them are even hospice patients, meaning that they have been given a specific period to expire.
In most of those facilities, all sorts of life support, ventilation equipments and artificial gastric feeding tubes are commonly used by the residents. Their immune system are often compromised and requires uttermost care.
The truth is, such individuals on a normal situation wouldn’t survive 24 hours in Nigeria.
