I may be wrong but I wish to draw people's attention to the Xhaka role. Why do u think Saka was giving assist up and down? The answer simply lies with the Xhaka positioning. Anytime we are attacking, The LW will join the CF inside the box ,Saka will move to LW, Xhaka will cover for him as an auxiliary LB. Now, Do u think it will be wiser for Xhaka to push the ball forward,? what if he lose the ball?
Though sometimes He do misbehave , am not doubting that.
This is just my observation... I stand to be corrected.

You don't get it. Xhaka is only playing that makeshift Auxilliary LB role because that's like the only use he seem to have due to his weakness in core Midfield.

Just look at any of the top 5 to 6 teams in the league and point out any of them that adopts this pattern of play that involves the DM/CM shuttling between the middle and LB position. To me, this pattern that involves Xhaka deputizing for Saka each time the latter attacks is only adopted to manage the shortage of manpower in the two roles. I mean we have an inexperienced youngster playing out of position in LB, and a Physical DM that has not played the DM role as it is required.

Arteta is only doing what a football manager is expected to do; MANAGE!

Just like I pointed out, when we have Tiernney back and probably a backup LB to replaced Kolasinac, we should sell off Xhaka and buy a proper DM. Xhaka is far from being a proper DM and should not be used as an Auxilary LB if and when we have a LB that can be trusted to do his LB job.

You won't find Ndidi, Fabinho, Kante, Mctominay and even Eric Dier playing Auxiliary LB when there is enough battle to be won in the middle of the park.

yes! He has been better since Arteta took over and stopped partnering him with Guen. That said everyone agrees that he’s limited but selling him in January without a proper replacement would be recipe for disaster. Ceballos was injured at the time and you expect Arteta to sell Xhaka and be left with Guen and Torreira?

It’s not everyone that will be making rash and emotional decisions like Emery.

...hopefully, his current form will boost his market value because I believe that Arteta might want to cash in on him.

I think Blueray has explained everything in details, that's my take on Xhaka and I expected fans to be in tune with that, not until I started reading fans over blowing his "improvement" over the past few weeks like he should be in future plans..

Again, like Blueraydick said, the coach is just managing, Arterta helped and made him look better with Torreira who is the best deep midfielder here, he looked okay with Carzola also... But to achieve big, we need a better Player.
Guen and Willock are inexperienced and not physical enough to help his case and Ceballos can only try beside Xhaka.

I don't want to agree a FC with ambition cannot sell and get a quality replacement in that January.

What fans including I said was that Emery made him worse than he actually is. Remember I always said Xhaka is not performing at the level he should.

How many solid DMs will want to leave their clubs in January while we look to sell Xhaka at the same time to manage wage bill. Remember the transfer window is short.

I share Arteta's sentiments on this.

Mari looks comfortable on the ball and looks more like a CB who won't have to pass to Luiz each time to lunch long forward passes.

I hope he continues to improve. I want him, Saliba and Chambers make it quite difficult for the coach to keep Mustafi. Mustafi must go.

No matter how improved Mustafi may look, he will still come up with his erratic display some day and it may cost us seriously.
