I have something similar like this, it never goes of ..like the fan is running forever 24-7.

I use a 40ah battery, and 150 watt panels and a 30amp chinko charge controller.

With a QASA solar standing fan 24watts(highest speed), I use it for 24-7 never off.. it also power some other stuffs like Laptop and phone charging ( extra 30 watts - when needed)

It have never gone below 12.6-12.7 volt and the battery gets fully charge before 12pm-1pm (even in cloudy or raining weather.

24watts rechargeable standing fan? Where were you when i was looking for low wattage fan to buy? could you snap the label on the fan? I would like to see the specs of the fan.

The fan is 40 watts boscon. Seller says 20watts panel is ok to charge it. Though I am thinking of 14ah-20ah battery and 40-60watts panel.
Pls advise o.

Come to think of it. Why stress myself. Why not just run wire to the rooms from the inverter battery terminals and connect to the battery terminals of the fans. With that I won't need to replace fan battery.

What I did presently is to get 7ah battery and loop to the fan battery port. Only problem is fan can't charge it until inverter is on. I need a system that will charge the fan batteries during sunhours independent of the inverter. Thus whether we are home or not and pit inverter on, solar is charging the fan batteries.

Anyone selling lithium ion battery, 3.7v 18650? Pls state price. Thanks

I saw people have started moving to lithium batteries. Is it advisable? And what has d experience been. Is it worth it in the long run considering the cost.

Well it's good if you want to run it off your inverter battery, I just use this setup for DC..so anything connected to it is always 'ON' and I don't need to worry about DOD or some sort.

Also have a separate set-up with inverter which I monitor here and there

A system that will serve you well is determined from the beginning of your installation.

Don’t be too quick to go with cheaper budget; most times clients regret it, because they ended up buying substandard products, from an hit and run seller or installer.

Especially Batteries

Be ready to hear the truth even though it hurts to know you have exceeded budget.

I for one think if you don’t plan a solar system to serve for low sunlight days or rainy seasons; you have not installed well.

In engineering planning you go for the worst case

Hi Guys,

Any RELIABLE Panels/Inverter seller on here, without having to triple and quadruped checking anything. I am saying this because I have been sold fake/re-badged panels on here few years ago and the seller swore by everything but later admitted and put it down to their supplier's fault...Yeah right.

So any RELIABLE sellers please let me know.

thanks in advance.

Perfect example of what I expect from this thread, how on Earth will someone say 20watts panels is good to run 40 watts device 247 are you truthbetold?

For optimization, Correct sizing matters, the statement in bold is very accurate don't need to ask questions I just believe it, cost its practical.

600watts panels to effectively charger 200AH battery Rule.. grin

Seller only want to make sales does not care about quality.
Even 5W panel will do grin

Solar may not be cheap, but worth it on a long run.

I started small as well, 80watts panel, 18Ah battery, 15Watts Yingli solar fan, 2 DC 5W 150LM bulb that only consume 2.5watta each. After real life experience, then I was able to deduce, how Solar set up actually works..

He has given you expo, just copy and paste the formula.

Boss Dem is it advisable

I'm currently using 2 separate charger to charge a single 12v 100Ah lead acid battery

Nepa go soon seize light and i needed a quick charge

Will this damage d battery

Suoer 1000w with inbuilt 10a charger is connected and foxsur 12v 8a are the 2 chargers that are currently connected to the battery

100Ah

Ideally, most lead acid batteries are recommended charged at C/10. That is 100AH should be charged at 100/10= 10A which is a rule of thumb rule as some can take higher current, that is where smart chargers comes in. So in your setup it may be good or bad depending on the battery chemistry and the behaviour of chargers used.

My bad, I used the AC to DC adaptor for calculations which is 2A 12v

Thanks very much Bro, this is not a practice i will continue anyways for 2 days no power and i was out of fuel yesterday, the state of charge of the battery was 12.2V last nite, i used it for only ceiling fan last night 3am to 7 or 8am this morning then the battery went down to 11.7V

When power was restored i wanted to quick charge bcus d light won't stay above 1 hour,

So long as the 2 chargers you are using are smart enough I don't think 18A(assuming the chargers are truly delivering their full juice) is too much. There will only be major issue if any of the chargers is not smart enough to cut current.
Assuming your battery is totally low, you can do the charging with both chargers for about 2hrs and then disconnect the 8A. Leave the 10A to continue
