By my own power supply you mean solar and Generator right?
But I'm sure that the electricity in places like asokoro and maitama should be atleast 20 hours daily.

As for places like banana island and lekki In Lagos, I'm more concern about flood because recently i discovered that most rich people and billionaires that have houses in those areas are most part of the year don't stay in the country.

Banana Island does not have flood issue.

How many houses do you own in lagos that thinks and makes you think or that gives you the idea is your village,

A city with a tiny land mass crammed with 20 million people with thousands arriving everyday

9-5 ends up being 5am to 9pm, do you think thats how normal cities are

When it floods, its always in biblical proportions, even on the island RRS must patrol every 5 minutes

Wake up bro, the progress abuja made since its inception in 25 years, lagos only made the opposite

Abuja is cool to stay but the safety of your John Thomas is not guaranteed likewise the safety of ur money is not guaranteed because u might keep spending on fun spots and to me stuffs are expensive in Abuja..if u are looking for lovely places to stay, look around Lugbe estates..but too much fun too dey Abuja..

Lugbe estate kwa? U no even say Gwarinpa. After Asokoro and Maitama, Gwarinpa is the best place to stay.

OP, Abuja should do it for u. Don't mind these people saying no night life in Abuja. I've lived in Garki and later Gwarinpa, places to hang out plenty. And u will do it with cool headed people unlike in Lagos. Lagos will drive u crazy, even if u hide in the island, one day something will bring u down to the mainland, then u will understand the true effects of Lagos on a human brain

Good evening guys, i just want to know which city between Lagos and Abuja is more advisable for relocation.

Now my number one criterial is safety, a residence that is crime free.

I need a location where i know that no matter the political situation of the country, i am 100% save
. The Budget is not a problem at all.

All I'm after is safety between Lagos island, lekki and environs and the main Abuja city.
Which is the best for relocation most especially safety from crime.

A city that will give me the modern city feel, security, infrastructure and access to international connect. Like a powerful neighborhood.

If ur a northerner and a Muslim then Abuja is safe for u no matter the political situation. If not, do not pass go do not collect £500 go straight to village! Lagos right now na suffering and smiling! If u don’t have a car, gigantic yams go develop for ur legs from trekking. All new viruses/disease hits Nigeria from Lagos. Tanker explosion? Lagos! Gas explosion nko? Na Lagos win am! Unnecessary tax and tariff na dem get am! With all the water surrounding the Island, u go find good water tire! Lagos SARS nko? Na dem kii pass!
But u most definitely will be wow’d by life better here than in Abuja! grin

It depends on your capital. Lagos is far better if you have the rabaa. Lagos will spike your spirit to hustle and never find yourself in a dull moment. Abuja can make one believe there is a bag of cash along the road that you will pick up one day. Lagos you will learn howto wake up in time and jump enter bus even if you have a private car you can't avoid buses or keke. Everything here is on the high side. House rent and cost of living. But if you have family kindly find somewhere at Zuba and stay and avoid much Lagos wahala. But it's nice here oooh, every weekends dey like Christmas oooh.
Your reasoning with the OP is different. You have a poverty Mentality. undecided

Abuja to Lagos anyday anytime.. though I grew up in Lagos but coming to Abuja in year 2000 opened my eyes to serene and tranquil life here. However, Abuja is getting crowded due to lagosians flooding here on a daily basis.

I wish someone like el rufai is appointed minister of FCT to destroy shanties and chase useless people in Abuja. Those guys are making Abuja less secured and are the cause of one chances and theft.

Overall, Lagos for fun, Abuja more secured.

el rufai is not whats needed!
the point is that Nigeria cannot afford to be a one or two or even three city state.
what happens to spreading wealth everywhere so that atleast people do not have to leave their villages in order to be fulfiled.
even if el rufai comes in today, he will not be able to do much! the truth is in the future, Abuja will be one of the worst cities in the world. why? people will continue to flood there and you cannot chase them away! also, the place has a good basement rock but all we see there are just small houses. not too many sky scrapers. i can't live in that city!

Since safety is the priority for you then your obvious choice is Lagos.

Abuja is closer to Boko Harham than you think

also with the rampant kidnapping and heardsmen killing in that area.
i laugh at those who say Lagos is not safe. and claiming Abuja is better.

I grew up in Abuja and my family still live there. I currently reside and do business in Lagos.

Fun in Abuja is narrowed down to the following.... Clubs, bar, cinema, one dead lake (jabi lake) and cheap s*x with girls from border states that I would not mention. It only becomes fun if you have friends that like what you like.
Business also is good but you have to invest in businesses that appeals to low or middle class people then maybe one day, someone on the top can see your work and patronize you. Safety is not guaranteed anywhere there because people indulged in crime are not touts but people who are very learned. They plan every move carefully and because there is no traffic at set hours of the day and almost zero roadblocks, they get away almost everytime.

Lagos is hectic but I consider it safe. So many fun places for family and friends to hang out. High tech places, low tech places and local chill spots. You do not need to know anyone here to make a living as you are given a chance to prove yourself making it more like your work speaks for you. All the fun you hope to have in Abuja is here in Lagos and more.

The decision is yours. What kind of person are you?
Abuja is good but boring
Lagos is hectic but active. Even in traffic, you still catch fun and if you will be setting up a business and not working for someone, I think you should do lagos

*My opinion*
