The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay, has said the Whistleblowing policy of the Federal Government has led to the recovery of N594.09bn in less than three years since it was introduced. He spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at a two-day roundtable organised by the African Centre for Media and Information Literacy (AFRICMIL), PACAC and the MacArthur Foundation with the theme: “Entrenching Whistleblowing in Regulatory and Revenue-Generating Agencies”.https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/whistleblowing-fg-recovers-n594-09bn-791-cases-in-three-years-sagay.html 2 Likes

Huh, Nigeria stealing is what we should reduce not just recovery. The cases are just the discovered ones. Entrepreneurship can be encouraged, like a business I know sometimes doing ecommerce DayDone Ltd, you can be busy doing things and investing in our nation while this will continue. I came across vp celebrations with seeking to give grant fund, this is how this country could move forward, but moving money to foreign country instead of long term investment is just too bad for a good economic development 2 Likes |

Whistleblowing was the inn thing until they scared off the whistleblowers by doing same thing Nigeria police do. An example is the Ikoyi one where the whistleblower was said to be paid after he voiced out and denied been paid FG declared him as been mad. Is there any thing that last in Nigeria? Yes that's corruption I guess 7 Likes 1 Share

Some posters above needs to be ignored. What I have noticed on nairaland is a situation were people who live in messed up areas and had messed up upbringing, come online to pour out their frustration on others. Especially, one of them above who sees nothing wrong in the killings happening in this country. In their small minds they believe Buhari and the presedency are gods without any error. Not knowing humans are prone to mistakes and bad decisions. Having such elements close to the corridors of power, Nigeria will be doom. 9 Likes |

Must you comment? and even supporting it with an dumb expired evidence! What you did amounted to saying telegraph is most advanced means of communication in this century! Werey every where! Anyway, Continue with your research and you will confirmed that the guy has actually been paid! Infact, he jet out of the country immediately he was paid first batch and if you completedreading your stupid 2017 article you showed as evidence, you will note that the content is only pointing out that the money is too much for guy and he needs counselling on how to spend it which is not a big deal mr fool! |
