You are wrong. I have been refused before and the only reason quoted was " After checking your hotel reservation using open source, we noticed it has been cancelled. This further cast doubt about your intention visiting U.K"

So hotel reservation is very very very important

Brightingsus:

I would assume you mean you want your accommodation in the UK to be at 2 different hotels. Well, that is not a problem. A tourist with a visa must not stay in one location in the UK. A tourist is allowed to visit many cities in the UK as long as these days add up to the time quoted in the application.

I wonder why people include hotel bookings as part of their application, not saying you should not. However, ECO does not consider documented hotel bookings to decide your application albeit you would need the address of where you would be staying in the UK at application stage and at POE. Why? A lot of the hotels offer free cancellations of bookings. An applicant could book a hotel without paying, get the reservation and use it for visa application purposes, secure the visa and cancel the booking afterwards.

On the other hand, Hotel bookings would be a requirement if the application prompts (or requests) for such.

It would do us a lot of good to read to understand. I just gave a screenshot of what the government site says in their rules, never my opinion. The UKVI rule lists the items not considered to decide a visa application unless the application requests for it. This means when prompted for address, then you include whatever place you intend to stay. If it is a hotel, then the hotel address. If staying with family, then the residential address. In a nutshell, hotel reservation is not a defacto.

Your case required a hotel booking as that probably was where you stated you would be accommodated, then you cancelled the booking.

Any visa application requires address of where you will be be staying whether hotel booking or any address.
In as much as you dont have a place to stay, the visa decision will not favour you. The fact that the website states you dont have to provide it does not mean you should not provide it.
Infact, *it is one of the things they first consider*

Good day Gurus in the house, I am unable to get free appointment date for assisted self service in Ikeja. Can I change my submission center to Victoria Island? If possible, how do I go about it. Travel date is April 9th.
Also, is there any email or phone number through which TLS can be contacted?
Please help biko

No sir, I meant the same hotel with two different bookings. The hotel actually suggested that for me. Is it a red flag? And I am applying from Germany not Nigeria.

You can get a free appointment if you keep on checking.
Once you picked a centre, you can’t change it except you cancel your application.
Check the TLS website , you will see their contact details.

Hi all

I’m trying to renew my Uk visa which expires this month because I want to travel at the end of the month

I had to do the ‘keep your passport option’ because I needed my passport with me.

It’s been over three weeks with no contact from tls or the uk embassy To submit my passport i reaches out to them via the paid email enquires portal and was told a decision has been made on my application and further enquires were quite unhelpful.

Who has done this keep my passport route previously? It’s turning out to be more of a complication than any-other thing

Any advice on how to proceed?)

My wife applied December 16, 2019, her application was not treated until I emailed them 2 weeks ago on her behalf. FedEx delivered her passport 2 days ago. Visa approved

You need to email the embassy. Include your reference number, passport number, phone number and email address

Thanks for responding...I actually don't have any of those...

There is another means I want to use to apply..I have a medical condition(tonsil)I have been going for treatment in a federal hospital and they suggested I have to undergo a surgery to get it removed before it causes harm to my heart..I noticed the tonsil last year and have been to different hospitals yet nothing stopped it..the last hospital I went to is a federal hospital that suggested surgery.. The surgery can be done there but I'm thinking of telling them to refer me to a hospital in the UK for the surgery.. I will pay for the surgery and hotel reservation from here through a sponsor that will be able to provide all the needed documents.. Please what's your advice?

Hello gurus in the house. I am trying to make payment for standard visa but can't seem to get the code that has been sent to my phone. Who else has experienced this and how was the problem solved?

I called my bank customer care line and they did not give any tangible reason.

Kindly help gurus..

Also won’t work. Tonsillectomy is not an emergency and certainly not with these grave side effects that you have listed. It can also be handled in Nigeria. They can’t be moved with this story
If u want to continue with the househelp story to try ur luck then let them start paying u a salary for 6 months and then gather other evidence to solidify ur story

Hmmm ....using treatment as an excuse would increase the probability of your being rejected higher. They might request from the medical doctor (nominated by them) to confirm if such surgery can't be done locally before they can approve your referral to an hospital in the UK which would be damn expensive since you don't have insurance.

Why not explore applying on your own merit rather than try to latch on someone else? Better still if you must latch on, then apply as a family member (relative to the man's wife or to the man himself as cousin).

In all, ensure you analyze your chances of success or failure. Failure might lead to a ban though if care is not taken.

One question, why go through so much stress for a vacation? A vacation you obviously can’t afford? UK is very hostile to illegal immigrants and I’m damn sure your intention is to overstay. Typical nigerian looking for getaway from a failed county but picked the wrong means. Don’t be fraudulent, build yourself and let your circumstance improve so you can stand a better chance of getting visa not all those househelp story or surgery.
