Most of those don't work, where u wanna U can't have company at least not the popular ones, I would have chose hacking but due to in crease memory performance, cloud hosting and risk of getting jailed i backed out, why would u want to hack in first?

As a developer and programmer, you build and design an app or software that millions of people will use, first thought that comes to you is my software secure, can it be hacked or bypass by malicious hackers: YES it can be bypass when you as a developer ignorantly believes your software was tested fine and accurately at the notion of it you find out important informations and files are being leaked online by a black hacker putting the company at risk and loss of money.penetration testing is important in any organisation be it a micro company or a big firm. I can vouche many firms now has realised the importance of having a system analyst, security engineer, penetration tester in their organisation. it will shock you knowing the amounts firms lost out to negligence of developers due to silly queries of codes. talking about cloud system, dear i can say with what have done companies still get hacked using cloud system, hacking is so versatile that you as an hacker ought to be creative in getting your result.

Some people will conclude that we use intranet network and cant be hacked.. sorry to say this its quhte possible when you know the right tools to use as a pentester, also goes to api exploitation.. many web sites and apps are in a mess,but many wont agree have seen, tested few of them and discovered vulnerabilities that most times shockes me, as a pentester with ethics, i dont harm or exploit such, only simple notify those in charge. How i wish seun would give us the little chance as a pentesters to do what we are good at.. no boundary attach.

I have been thinking of switching from programming to cybersecurity lately. so I decided to scour job boards and employment platforms..to my dismay I couldn't find cybersecurity or related jobs, perhaps recruitment is done codedly.

Compared to the number of open spaces I saw for other countries, Nigeria is a joke. I once saw on a thread here that travelling out is the best approach.
I seems as though you are familiar with this field..what do you think?

honestly Nigeria is a mess when it comes to cyber security, as you said there is much hope outside the country working as a pentester, ethical hacker, security engineers and the rest...
Firms in Nigeria still have the negative illusion that hackers (white and grey hackers) are bad thanks to the media on that, most firms when they hear the word hacking they have this paranoid attitude...
There is a lot different between a hacker, script kiddies and a yahoo boy...
Nigerians still believes a yahoo boy can also be a hacker ( so wrong and lame)
Bro if you have the opportunity in leaving the country to discover your potentials on cyber security... Brother no waste time ooo
N:B... You can still make your self known in Nigeria, ask me how... Hack into a strong multi national firm server and have a POC of your research on vulnerabilities in their firms... In a more official way send it to the owner of the company in person or through mail and see if they won't employ you ( No harm done to their systems)....
