Ohhh... The country of his one and only legitimate Francophone wife. Coz his other in-laws all come via his many francophone concubines.

Ehen... So yes, I read about the appointment. I understand he is Herve Renard's former assistant. Beaumelle Patrice (Hope I got his name right).

That one na dia cup of tea. grin I have already told Chriskels that not even his beloved Ivory coast and Senegal can stop this Super Eagles side come AFCON next year. cool

lol.. people like to dey play football for paper.. u no go wait see the player play in green white green before you compare the players. Natural tag is not enough to prove you are the best. If you are a natural RB then you should be able to SHOW that you are better than the so called make shift RB. Let the players play and then we compare them objectively.

Icon4s:

Until we get a natural right back who can play better in that role we will continue to use make-shift right backs. This is not an issue of they making way for any natural right back player.

You said Awaziem should just make way without considering if the new Natural Right back is better or not.
I subsequently made an emendation adding that if the new RB proves his mettle then Awaziem should fight for the CB position. Depends again though on our having another good sub for the RB

As far I am concerned abt jamilu Collins...he's just as good as idowu dt plays in Russia. we av not yet seen a capable replacement since echiejile retired, d last time we had a capable left back was during taiye taiwo reign cool
That's denigrating the contributions of Echiejile who was also a capable left back.

Jamilu Collins is a certified carpenter and another Bryan Idowu. Dude shouldn't be making the Super Eagles bench at all. Na condition make crayfish bend. He will soon be offered a tenure track position into the renowned Faculty of Carpentry
Can you tell me any SE player that is plying his trade as a LB and is better than him?

I wil prefer aina at the lb position while ehizibue take the rb position

With ndidi fully fit i will pick aribo ahead of etebo since the team will be playing for a possible win both home and away

Osimehn to start ahead of nacho and cyriel but will love to see the latter come in later in the game to replace the former since we already knw what nacho brings to the table.

Then i hv to add that the cb combo of ajayi and ekong should be continued
Great. but I would introduce Nacho instead of Cyril. No need to rush in the latter . Let him see and feel the competition and options upfront. Let him shiver to perform at his very best.

you just like talking off point.
Aina is the team left-back for now!
Rohr's decision to keep playing Collins at the Afcon instead of an inform Aina cost us the trophy. Simon was forced to keep tracking back as Mahrez was making mincemeat of Collins

Playing Collins at lb cost us the afcon ?

You are speaking with your hate for Collins instead of reality

How am I taking off point ?
Is Rohr not the one in charge of the team? Was he not the one that dropped Aina for Collins ?

It doesn't matter if you guys don't rate Collins because Rohr does... otherwise he won't have dropped an in form Aina for him the middle of the AFCON...

True facts

They don’t rate Collins and they think they can force that on rohr

You think he will be happy to play Lb for naija as he does for arsenal abi ?

By next year, another one will come. We don't need a world class LB, after all, Gabon has a world class striker, and they are yet to achieve with him. We just need someone who will bring value to the team, if not Saka, another person will show. I no like to dey find who no dey find me

God bless you

But you see my brodas here won’t listen

TWO LEFT BACKS THAT CAN PLAY FOR NIGERIA

Zaidu Sanusi plays for Santa Clara in the Portuguese first division. In fact, he is in the first team and he plays all their matches

Chima Akas plays for Belleneses in the same Portuguese first division. He also feature regularly

The portugues league is among the best 10 leagues in Europe and so is a good league

I think we should consider these two for our left back position. From my research, they can also play in order positions.
Our youth football has been working since 2013 (Iheanacho's set) and so our football has a bright future. The problem was before 2013 our youth football was not working and there came this great outcry for foreign born players. While it is good, we should not thing of foreign born players as the only solution. There are many viable alternatives. Developing our local football is the best and it is gradually happening. We even have Term Moffi and Sadiq Umar as strikers. The only place we might need foreign born players is in attacking midfield but we should not be desperate about it.
In fact, these foreign countries have started noticing what we are doing and they may compel FIFA to change their laws.
In the long run depending on home born talent is more secure and will stand the test of time

That's how life should be, it thrives on all things being mutual.

The goal keeping position is our weakest link right now.

IMO we have the most balanced team In Africa right now and we are contenders for 2021.

We are already better then the 2019 team and if we meet Algeria again we most likely will be the most deadly side.

However on the world stage we are still at best a 2nd round team.

Our players need to move up one more gear and play for top teams in the best leagues. They will become world class if the replicate their performances consistently in the top teams.

I.e. Chuks in Liverpool, Osimhen in Tottenham, Ndidi in Madrid (Just an example not a speculation).

When we have 2 or more world class players in our team we become a semifinal/Quarterfinal team.

Any team that makes a WC semi final can win the world cup.

Summer 2020, our top players need to move!
