If he wills his property to her... does she believe the very family that she fears may kick her out... will allow her to remain on the property?.... or let her live in peace?... or allow her to sell the property?... or allow her to live? Life is not guaranteed.... neither is income to maintain the family.... did she even discuss what can be done to better prepare for whatever setbacks may arise in the unpredictable future?... like her going to work/having a side business to boost income?.... like her taking out a life insurance on herself? Will is important but like someone pointed out, a sad reminder of death and believe you me, anyone who emphasise on a will for a 37yr old man is not to be trusted.

1. Tell your sister to go learn how to make money that even in the absence of the man she and her kids will be fine.

2. Tell your sister to stop making enemies of her husband's family. REASON SHE IS scared OF BEING THROWN OUT!! The family now may be saying "we no tell you"

Be prepared is always the watchword.... Do we know if she is speaking from personal experience or her friend is experiencing such trauma.......

Both couples should write wills and both life insurance policies..... Nobody knows when the final breath would be used........

In my country, the mortuary can't even release the body to family members without the wife okaying it with her signature 1st. They want her present all the way through. Same when they're issuing a death certificate or collecting life insurance, the wife is the beneficiary of both, unless stated otherwise in the will or other opposing documents. Even then, she'd still be entitled to at least half of his assets. It's the law, to ensure the financial security of the woman & any children they shared together.

Anyway, the guy must be suspicious of her motives. After all, some women kill over that sort of thing. If she's uncertain about her financial future, then she should take out a life insurance on him & pay the premiums/deductibles herself Bingo! She'll be one rich widow should he conk over
