Madam busybody, you're pathetic.
Severally he mentioned here that he doesn't drive uber to earn a living, it's just for fun.
That guy he met in the hotel was a new employee that was undergoing training.

For your information he lives in Pinnock Beach Estate, Lekki.
He's not a poor man, he's just humble, he used his infinity M45 for uber, a car fitted with v8 engine, got that?

tojahh isn't driving uber again, he works in an oil and gas firm.

yes indeed, busybody for asking questions

are you sure you arent the alternative moniker defending, in jan you were busy looking for a partner to give you car to ride, suddenly you are now a logistic officer in his company because you are the only special one he can help here for jobs on this thread.

pls who does uber for fun, that is the lies Nigerians try to tell themselves to protect their image, if he was doing uber for fun, he would just have done it free of charge, abeg i am tired of hearing i am doing uber for fun story.

who is talking about whether he is a poor man or not, what is my business with his financial status,

some here says he stays in bonny camp now it is Pinnock Beach Estate

how come you know all these info after all not recently you wanted an uber to drive, i believe this is your other moniker..well done.

I wish I could tell you same- ‘cos you obviously do not have a brain. “Unusual” submissions are not expected from your kind. Enough said.
All the years u have spent on nairaland talking shiit about men, tell me what u have achieved with it so far? U think creating multiple accounts to talk shiit about men will better your life? Please take your senseless mentality of men vs women fight to romance section. We don't need it here, see what u have reduced this thread to.

Evidence for what?
What business do you have with him? Has he approached you for anything? What's your pain?
You don't exist where he is, go get a life and stop displaying your frustration on this forum.

Thanks

all these your long talk does not move me at all

i have been on different forums to know truth from lies, nairaland is the master of them all, full of lies and fictions

if you have been to reddit, you will understand that when people are posting a story, they are posting with facts, pictorial evidence, you dont have to post all pic, you blur info, here on nairaland, people will write unbelievable stories and want you to believe it at all cost, when you start asking questing, they get annoyed and their supporters start abusing.

for example you meet a top programmer, nothing stops you from posting a blur pic of yourself with him as evidence.

Aunty what is your concern with all these data verification? How do people even find the energy to question the offline lives of NLders. Especially when it has touch of affluence. Not something I bother myself with, more reason I consider the creature who linked me to such- an extremely silly one. Take care biko.

When was this? This year, last year or 4 yrs ago?

The highest numbers od trips ive done on uber was 47 which was last week. My account was credited with about 31k+ on Monday which I used part to pay for my rental. The cash I got on me was about 10k, after filling up my tank on Monday b4 travelling outta state I was left with about 9k or there about.

Any driver with more than 50trips this period with the current traffic we have now in lagos should pls show us a snapshot.

Oga, in the name of Jeaua u will come back to Lagos Nigeria and drive.

35k weekly rental in 2020?! Wicked!!

Did the driving September and October, Part of my feasibility, planning and laziness is a big problem here, always complaining lam used to working 12hrs a day, I discovered timing and positioning is the key.

The billionaires of yesterday came from humble beginnings.. Before you know it these younger ones u looking might become transport magnet in the future ,or better yet ehailing might lead them into something bigger or better ways to improve the business..

After all the guy that started uber ,started with an idea while he was waiting for taxi to pick him up..certain situations can lead to other things, but you have to start somewhere.

Another example, how did you think I got started with importing engine oil. It all started with e-hailing and I notice that my cars were always breaking down , and I found out that wrong engine oil and low quality was the cause of it ..
So I decided to import my engine oil for my own personal use and than I realize that I can sell it to other partners and car owners.. And now I can't even meet up with demands.. But it all started from somewhere... The little man you see now , can become a giant 2morrow ..

A good person to know and learn from, Hope we meet, let me know anytime you are in London

My brother you are very wrong o.. It has nothing to do with diet .. In sane country ,you don't feed wildlife animals so has not to have the animals over dependent on human beings. If you keep feeding them ,what happens to their animal instincts to hurt their own food , and apart from that giving animal food is makes them not to be afraid of human being .... Which can cause deadly consequences.
And her point is not to have animals dependent
for survival by human beings . Now if they animals were in a zoo now that is different, but an animal that was raised in a zoo all of its life , will not be able to survive out in the wild ..because the instinct to survive and hunt has been breed out of them ....
I missed the point, I thought I read zoo o, I had to go back, thanks

you think so, disruption of natural hunting or food-gathering behavior isnt a reason, ok, lol. go do your research.

the basis of the argument is simple, when you give people free things, they become dependent and become lazy, the zeal and instinct to work will be removed, you see the same traits in welfare beneficiaries, people who depend on a rich family member for survival.

no vex, I understood you

My first business I did was to import parts from Japan. And I needed to raise about $30k dollars at the time . I was still in college part time .. I was doing security job at the time ..
So in order to achieve my goals, I was working over 60hours a week ,I will wrk from 3pm to 7am the next day. I was stressed out, but I knew I wanted to achieve my goals .
My Point is for me now to be sitting down and open shop to sell oil . I have put in my time and work , I busted my tail off ,sometimes I ask myself if all these hustling is worth it or not . I had no social life and didn't really enjoy my college years...

I want through the same pain situation when I was doing truck business. I had two jobs so that I can raise money to buy Mack trucks, I was busting my tail off even more, you can ask Carshopper, I met him on nairaland through that period in my life , ...

So now that am able to find a business that is not as much stressful, not easy but less stressful compare to other business that I have done in the past. Don't you think that I have paid my dues? Dont you think I deserve a little break. I didn't steal money from nobody, it was hard labour with blood, sweat and tears...

The point am dragging across here is you have two choices in life .. Do want to be great and do great things? Or do you want to be average? It is easy to be average, but greatness comes with hard work and persistence.

You have to put in long hours of work , you have to get out of your comfort zone... So if it is driving for long hours, or staying in the office for an extra hour a day. You just have to do what you have to do. But as you are putting in those hours, make sure you work smart and hard. In the end those longs hours will pay off..

Folks Learn and listen.
A great man is talking.

My first year on Uber, I started with roughly 4 cars ,second year I had up to 6 or 7 .. I could have put in more cars. So the guy that said he had 8 cars in two years, you know if the cars are naija used or tokunbo.. And you dont know if the guy buys cars from the auction, or better yet if he has a brother abroad that got him the cars cheaper, or maybe he has a partner that invested with....
Nigerians don’t think out of the box they are one dimensional thinkers.

Lolz, dont believe everything you read online.

Someone said he started this uber journey and was able to buy 8 cars in two years. This feat is almost very impossible to achieve except by Grace or fraudulent act.

Now let me break it down.
If said person relied solely on driving on uber this is what u get :
We gat no idea if the 8 cars were bought as toks or fairly use but let me place a value of 1m on each car...

8 cars in 2 years, which means he maybe bought 4cars in a year.
1m X 4cars : 4m

To achieve 4 million naira driving solely on uber / taxify (maybe) in a year
This simply means :
4m ÷ 12months : 333,333 (meaning u should be making at least 333,333k monthly)
333,333 ÷ 4weeks : 83,333k weekly (this means u should be making 83k weekly)

To achieve 83k weekly, that means your gross should be about 150k weekly.

You are prone to certain issues that would pop its ugly head once in a while, these issues will take a chunk of the profit made.
issues like this can never be avoided : mechanical and electrical issues (shock, brake pad, tyres blowout, steering pump, compressor, ball joint, fuel pump, alternator, bad kickstarter), servicing... You have lastma, vio to reckon with once in a while. Bad riders, Bolt app malfunctioning cant be left out. Then unforeseen issues like accident, robbery etc.... remember, you also have responsibilities as well, i dont know if you are married or single but one thing is certain, you are responsible for yourself (feed yourself poorly, dont have enough rest/sleep and the resultant effect is a health breakdown and this will affect your earnings)

On this story, there are so many loopholes which makes it very difficult to believe. Dont be like those motivational speakers : my first salary was 5k and in 6 months I bought a house in banana island without stating how the money was made. If you can't state how it was made, then dont bother saying it as you could be passing a message in a wrong way.

On another note, it's really sad to know that people are juxtaposing Nigeria with countries that are miles ahead of us in almost everything (aside corruption).
Using U.S and England as a yardstick to support your argument is really not nice.
They have good healthcare, good roads, good basic amenities etc but what do we have here other than bad roads, epileptic power supply just to mention but a few...

My point here is, if you are blessed, do not use that opportunity to look down on anyone or talk with reckless abandon... In the game of chess, the lowest ranked officer (pawn) can still become a Queen (the most powerful piece). Life na turn by turn.
If you wanna encourage someone, then apply emotional intelligence to it...
Ask for his assistance, and stop doing funny calculations, making money is never this simplistic it requires thinking out of the box, he might have sold land, got a loan had family help, all while he was working with UBER, he might even have other jobs he does.

That is why I said according to the article.. The point here for the rich to stay rich ,they stay work their tails off, some don't even relax ..

Look at Dangote for example, as rich as he is ,he still looking for money.. He still has goals and he sitill wants to buy a football team .. And he knows that he has to have a lot of cash to buy a football team.

And he knows he will be competing with people that are equally or richer than him. And buying football team no be beans , it is mostly all cash transactions, not on credit or pay monthly.. Unless the banks lends you money...

l pray he dosen’t buy that football club, it’s a wanton waste of money, and trust me when Oyinbo start posting pics of Almajiri he go run

Dru23 sir, I saw your post about the truck business yesterday, couldn't post a response yesterday.

E pele sir, that was some huge loss and great betrayal... People are just wicked.
There's similar case in Ado Ekiti sef, the guy was sent cars to sell, only to sell and live extremely large without remitting a dime to the owners... He sell cars wey below market prices sef, just to fund his large living.

And that story made me understand you more. You have seen!

But that doesn't change the fact that, this Nigeria and not the USA or some advanced countries. You can't just use these countries as yardstick for dealing with Nigerians.

Stop all the motivational talk too, everyone on this thread have enough motivation. Many have work they do and they still drive.
A large chunk of the people on this thread will most likely do better than you if given the same opportunity you got.

Why didn't you guys use the money you made overseas to invest overseas and let's see how it will go... You're only taking advantage of currency rate margin and the non stringent rules here in Nigeria.

Enough said, make I no offend people...

Your analysis is quite fraught, in all of these countries, we have Chinese , Polish, Indians and a host of others seeking opportunities, and making a living, most send money home to establish something, perhaps a bakery, logistic company , restaurant, why must it be Nigeria that your money gets stolen, that’s the question you ought to ask,
