tellalexander: If your visa application passes your proposed date of traveling , it has no effect on the ECO decision in as much you have applied early. The most important thing is for you to meet their visa requirement. 1 Like |

Please Help! I tried to book an appointment with TLS today, assisted service. There was a little network issue when I tried to pay, but it later went through and showed 'transaction successful', debited me, N11700. When I went back to the home page, I saw 2 red lines with something like processing error or so, but it later went out. I'm worried because I've not gotten any Confirmation email from them, and when I click on 'my application', the options there are: amend booking, appointment date not set yet, etc. I've tried to send mail to them through their contact us page, but no reply yet. Is it the weekend or is there really a problem? Please how can I contact them? I am already making plans to travel on Tuesday against the Wednesday appointment. What should I do? |

Hello All I currently hold a visitor visa which would expire in less than a month. I have been so tied up with work that I can't find the time to travel for holidays. My question is this: What happens if a visa expires and becomes unused? What would one expect when reapplying? Incase I can squeeze in like 3 days to travel and return how much time left on the visa is allowed for one to travel at immigration ? I mean if it remains like 2 weeks is it allowed? I would really appreciate any personal experience with this. 1 Like |

AjalaDtraveller:Since you ask for the implication of the visa becoming unused, I am assuming you have not used the visa in question at all. If you have had a prior visa that you used, then whether you are reapplying or want to squeeze in the 3 days travel, there should be no problem. If you do not have used past visas, in principle there is no problem also. UK says they treat each visa application on it's own merit. I find that having made a visit and returned on time is an advantage though, (with UK and many other western countries,) as it demonstrates that you can be trusted to follow the terms of your visa. Personal experience with arriving with your visa about to expire is that: the Border officer asked about my return ticket to make sure I have a ticket to leave the country before the expiration of the visa. That's all. It was not an used visa though. I expect you should be able to explain why you did not use it earlier and why you are using it now to the border police and your explanation should fly. 1 Like |

Hello guys, great job you are doing, you had impacted positively in many people's life. Kudos. Please I need your advice am to apply for a UK visit visa and my brother is the sponsorer, I work in a company where they pay me #230000/mnth, but this month salary has nothing been paid, the company said it will be paid next week. Hope this won't affect my appplication and what are the other documents that I need to attached. My brother is sending me the biodata page of his British pp, invitation letter, bank statement. Anxiously awaiting your response. Thank you. |

larrybenny: People mix up this, there’s difference between invite and sponsor. Invite could be offering accommodation and feeding only and sponsor means he’s paying for everything including flight. A young adult having someone to sponsor him or her is a disadvantage to your application merit except a parent or very old person , means you are not financially ok to support yourself for a trip/hol. Don’t get me wrong people get sponsored but ECOs are very strict now, Anyways good luck 7 Likes 1 Share |

But the person sending the invitation still needs to provide SOA even though only feeding will be provided for, uh? Darvick: |

larrybenny: As an adult, and one ostensibly gainfully employed, having someone pay for your holiday for you raises a red flag. Ideally your brother should be providing you accommodation only. You should show that you can afford to pay for your holiday yourself, otherwise your application will very likely fail. Advice: run your salary account properly over the next 6 months, then apply. For a definition of what the term "properly" means in the UK visa context, read this thread carefully to see what they look out for in account statements. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hello house. Please I need some help. I booked a UK Visa appointment on the TLS website and paid 11,700 for the assisted service. Now I want to reschedule the appointment for a later date (the previous date I booked is still about a week away). I logged into the platform but it appears I have to pay another 11,700 . Please can anyone kindly share if they've been through a similar experience? Thanks in advance. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 1:37pm On Mar 09, 2020 |
opomulero:Pounds. Cause if u go with euros, anyhow u do it you would still end up buying pounds again over there and that’s like buying currency twice.. this is more loss changing to euro and den changing euro to pounds again when u need it there. Like your average street food/grocery won’t sell to you in euros 1 Like |
