skillip: Her number no dey go... Would still call later. By the way, I saw this message a rider sent to me yesterday. I saw it this morning. She requested a ride, I was in her estate already so I was driving to her location. She was calling while I was trying to negotiate a turn. I tried taking the calling and driving at the same time. My phone was acting up and I couldn't take the call. I got to her pick up point about a minute later and I called. She replied rudely that she already cancelled the ride because I didn't pick the call (She called once). I said no problem, it's fine. Another request came in and it was the same person. I slid on "Arriving Now". She called, this time I purposely didn't pick. Apparently she was in the next turn about 5m away because she sent a guy (maybe her boyfriend) to check if there was any car at my location. The guy peeped and said there was. I just dey inside motor dey smile. 5 minutes later, I cancelled. I no know say the babe dey vex till this morning. Human beings... I still dey wait for the Bolt Ban. 4 Likes

I understand that as humans,we can be lenient and compassionate sometimes, but I think some of you are allowing that to becloud your thinking Simply notify your riders that you don't collect TRANSFERS for CASH before you start the trip. I can even understand the fake alerts as scamming, but how you let a rider leave your car with the "I-will-do-it-later" line is shocking. If he/she didn't want to pay with cash,it's easy to change it on the app. Very simple something You: Sir/Ma, this trip is a cash trip. I don't accept transfers please Rider: I don't have cash on me You:It means you'll wait for me to see an alert on MY PHONE, or I could cancel while you wait for another Wetin hard for here? Make Una no let all these people dey ride Una. 8 Likes |

izzou: You: It means you'll wait for me to see an alert on MY PHONE, or I could cancel while you wait for another Rider: No problem, it's fine. (Ride ends...) Rider: Can I please have your account details? You: 2715478156 Blabla Bank Rider: Ciroma Chukwuma Adekunle? (To confirm he/she has the right bank account) You: Yes, please... Rider: Ok. (BANK APP LOADS INDEFINITELY) Rider: I'm sorry it appears the Blabla Bank is having network issues. I've tried it several times. While thinking of what to do next, a request enters, maybe like ×1.8... Rider: Let me try it again... Still same, no bank network... You: ... Bros, abeg how this scene go take play out? I really need to learn a strategy. 2 Likes |

This thread is moving fast o. Well done guys. I have some questions to ask about this uber driving. 1. Is it allowed for two people to be in a car while a rider is being picked? Might be needing help in case no 2 happens. 2. Also observed cases of riders not paying their fares, is there a way to know the option the rider would pay with before you pick the rider up. I am a total green horn and would appreciate some answers. Thank you. |

sofdoc1: 1. Courtesy or whatever, demands that it never happens. I have a colleague who joins me after closing. Any day I feel like entering the 'streets', I inform him and I go online. The moment a request comes in, I drop him off some meters before I pick up the rider. No one is supposed to be in the car before you pick up a rider. 2. That information is given to you immediately the trip starts. It's better with the Uber App where drivers can make a report of riders defaulting in payment and they make a refund to the driver which they later charge on the rider, but on the Bolt App, 'OYO' is the driver's case. I made a report for more than two weeks now for miscalculation in price due to GPS error and nothing was done about it till now. 4 Likes |

izzou: Transfer has become a norm, if u tell riders that u don't take transfer, it means u will miss out on so many trips, infact card trip is gradually fading as ppl no longer trust Bolt with dia cards. For long now I have not had any issue with riders over transfer, maybe I'm lucky or it plays down to communication, they r times I try to scan a rider and I know deep within she is d type dat will careless, but I just have my way of playing it to dia conscience b4 leaving. For instance Saturday before the previous one, I carried two olosho's from surulere to Ikeja and they have been having dia field day with music and gist with telling each other they r going to stop by a boutique to get some clothes and shoes b4 going to dia final destination... Me, I'm just minding my wheel jejely with d mindset of it won't work, as I get to Ikeja and they stop by at the boutique, I just slide d end b4 pim, ah and we want u to wait for us nah! Me, oh! Sorry, u did not tell me and I have another request on surge waiting. She brought out her phone to transfer, no service... I told her I'm leaving, I hardly accept transfer and share d story of how someone try to scam me and the measures I took to get my money back. They no deh tell person, she was even using dear on d phone with apology, when d delay is taken longer then expected I just don't drop my account and leave, I am nice, cool and gentle, but I must read d riot act of thinking otherwise, cos the devil is very temptive, pls don't let him to use oo If I am not sure of rider, I stand my ground for d rude entitled once and f rating. I still have a pending case in my mind. Two of dem book a short distance ride of 900 on friday and they were meant to share d money, one gave me 600 and ask the other to balance up. In dat dia give me ur account tone, I look her like! Ontop 300 kwa, I gave her d acct, she was doing all d tin she was doing and frowning her face on network, oh! Dis tin will go now and they will debit me twice... I'm just looking, as u can see nothing has entered my phone, we spend like 15 mins trying to sought 300 naira, she have to go inside and beg someone for it, they took dia goods in the boot, only for me to see shoprite groundnut oil and sprite in my boot on Saturday evening. Even her 300 naira dropped as well, but I can't figure out her number again, but I feel I can still trace where I drop dem, but im just thinking if it is worth it for me to go thro dat stress for 1 litre of groundnut oil and 100 naira sprite plus her 300 1 Like |

Hi guys hope your week is starting in a good note. Guys how do you handle riders who always want to eat in the car, I'm finding it very difficult to handle most riders in this. Most of them feel it's normal to eat in the car and most say I'm the first uber driver to call their attention on that. One among the 3guys I carried last night around 2am says "after all its my right, I'm paying so I can do anything I like..." I just ended trip then asked them to come down of my vehicle, "i wont pay you". Me: no problem about that "I'll rate you low" Me: i dont give a Bleep about rating. please come down I've close for the day this is a destination trip thats y I on my bolt app. Las las his other friend who was cool headed was now trying to calm the situation and was begging I drop them. They knew it will be diffixult for them to get a ride home they now calm down. Yet the most stubborn one among them still did eat quietly behind. I need clue in how beat to handle such riders please. 1 Like |

Felicity0001: The "eating thing" beats me, I mean how will a full grown adult eat in a stranger's car n be damn comfortable about it. They eat n litter wt particles / crumbs everywhere, I'm like if all the riders ate in this manner, you won't be comfortable sitting in that same seat. Shame on some riders. 3 Likes |
