Cause if u go with euros, anyhow u do it you would still end up buying pounds again over there and that’s like buying currency twice.. this is more loss changing to euro and den changing euro to pounds again when u need it there. Like your average street food/grocery won’t sell to you in euros

I’m trying to renew my Uk visa which expires this month because I want to travel at the end of the month

I had to do the ‘keep your passport option’ because I needed my passport with me.

It’s been over three weeks with no contact from tls or the uk embassy To submit my passport i reaches out to them via the paid email enquires portal and was told a decision has been made on my application and further enquires were quite unhelpful.

Who has done this keep my passport route previously? It’s turning out to be more of a complication than any-other thing

Thing is I don’t have three working weeks, if I miss the course I’m going for it will extend my graduation for a year.

I’m considering putting in a fresh application since my passport is with me and pay for expediated services. Maybe the 5 day visa thing.

If I go this route can I pursue a refund much later?

I am yet to see anyone that got back their passport even within the 5 day priority visa schedule. I mean biometrics, visa decision and email from tls for passport collection within 5 days... i think it’s rare.
If u read this thread, u wud see the complaints. Give two weeks max... and there would be no refund for the keep my passport application u already did because u did keep your passport during this visa application... u didn’t submit it on biometrics day.
Also they said a decision has been made on this application meaning it has been processed... also non refundable...

Farzana it seems as if this is a case of 10 years ban for future applications. I’m afraid that’s what I got from the letter you posted.

It says clearly that the marriage certificate you presented was deemed to be a falsified document and so your application was refused on that basis and you have been banned for 10 years, depending on the visa category you apply for next.

If your marriage certificate is a genuine document, you had best challenge this decision.

Hello everyone, My mom applied for a uk standard visa(2years) on the 24th of February, she picked up her passport today and she was granted the visa. My brother is her sponsor, she’ll also be staying in the UK for 3 Months.
I also did self upload for her.

You need to be more specific with your query. You said you want to renew your visa. What visa category are you referring to?

Yep! submitted and biometrics done 23rd October 2017 and passport collected with visa 26th October 2017. Did long-term application, submitted with biometrics done at about 5 pm on 23rd April 2019 and passport collected 30th April 2019 with a 10 years validity visa. Gracias
