[s] 9japride:[/s] Why should I be able to measure up to an ethnic group? Your silliness knows no bounds. The Igbo ethnic group is one of the formidable ethnic groupings in Africa, so why should an individual measure up to them? You are either a teen-ager or in your early twenties still staying in your parents'house. Grow up first ok? |

raker300: Y'all sound so so pathetic. We will keep telling you the truth. The truth is always bitter. We are going to swallow it like that. You fought one war in the entire history of your ethnic group, we no go hear word again. Your insults won't deter us from telling you the facts. You fought a war. You lost. You won't be the first. Get over yourselves already. Can't you guys see that the bitterness is seeping into your everyday lives? A war that you did not even witness. You keep saying you recovered from a war without help blah blah blah .. How do you think your cities would look like without federal allocations monthly? Truth to you is hatred. I don't hate Igbos. The Igbos deserve to celebrate their cities without continuous, repetitive and boring reference to a defeat in war. |

Kennyswag: Dont say that. That's too harsh. They can be annoying and exasperating. Especially the Nairaland variety. I just chuck it down to misinformation, and traits like persecution complex, bragging and a dislike for the truth if it doesn't support your version, passed down from generation to generation. I have noticed that they don't like the truth. They think it's hatred. Same occurs on Radio Biafra page on Facebook. So I'm going to try and stop commenting on Igbo threads. |

FrLukas: I don't know how old you are, but there was no war in Nigeria. There was only a genocide. The so-called Nigerian Civil War, was essentially genocide on Igbo people. We survived it; thus, you have no right to tell us to get over the deaths of our family members. Mothers, fathers, brothers, uncles, sisters, autnies. Virtually every single Igbo person you've ever met, and known, lost a relative during that war. Keep that in mind. If you want Igbo people to be over the war, then there must be some kind of reconciliation effort. There has been none. Instead, after the genocide ended. African people, such as yourself, continued your oppression of Igbo people. Initially, it started with the money, appropriating Igbo wealth, then it turned to our properties, listing all our properties as abandoned. Then it moved into other economic spheres of life. Bottlenecking the Nigerian economy, by refusing to setup a port in the South-South region. Taking 50 years, to establish an international airport in the Eastern region. Complete neglect of Igboland by the Nigerian government. Meaning, Igbo people are forced to travel to places like Lagos, to carry out governmental things, such as applying for a visa, etc, simply because the Nigerian government, the nation you say we're a part of, has no presence in our land. The list goes on and on, and you can pretend that Igbo people have been treated fairly, but it doesn't matter. Because the truth is the truth. 10 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=rdokoye post=87292170] I don't know how old you are, but there was no war in Nigeria. There was only a genocide. The so-called Nigerian Civil War, was essentially genocide on Igbo people. Genocide? Really? Do you know what a genocide is defined as? If the intention of the Federal forces was to kill every Igbo they met on ground during the war, you won't be here typing on NL. That much you should understand. You are still suckling on the false propaganda created by the Biafran propaganda machine. It was a war. Go on YouTube and watch Ojukwu boasting how Biafra was going to surprise the entire world in the war. I have seen the video countless times. Go and watch it! In a war, one side wins and the other side loses. The other side doesn't get to change the narrative and claim they were helpless and so it was a genocide. When you give birth to children of your own, please, do them a world of favour and tell them the truth. You fought in a war and lost. You won't be the first and you won't be the last. Kapische? We survived it; thus, you have no right to tell us to get over the deaths of our family members. Mothers, fathers, brothers, uncles, sisters, autnies. Virtually every single Igbo person you've ever met, and known, lost a relative during that war. Keep that in mind. I'm glad you survived it. Now, let's look at your comment carefully. In the first comment up there, you said it was a genocide. Now in this comment, just because you want to make another point, you call it a war. Can you see? I know that most of you do these things automatically without thinking about them, but we see them and it makes us wonder about you guys. Same way you brag that you are versatile and have bounced up from a war and now you are the most successful tribe in Nigeria, only to change the narrative and tell us a little later that Nigeria is marginalising you and making you suffer. I'm sure we will see an example in this post I'm responding to soon. It was a war. Nobody is going to apologize or erect any monuments anywhere for anybody. It was a war, ok? Go and read the book "Tragedy of Victory". When the federal forces captured Biafran soldiers, they were fed and re-kitted to join the federal forces and fight with them, which they did. When Biafran soldiers captured soldiers from the federal forces, they beheaded them. (I intend to post an article with pictures about this whenever I have the time) Are you ready to apologize for the atrocities committed by your soldiers during the war? I didn't think so. A seaport has been established in the South South. I'm sure you are aware of that. An international airport was built in Enugu state. Your sister, an Igbo woman was the minister of aviation. She was given money to do just that and guess what? She gave you all a very substandard airport not fit to even accommodate local flights. Hence it has been shut down and maybe undergoing repairs. News had it that International flights refused to land there because the pilots complained about the runway which was a danger to them. Whose fault is that? Applying for a visa. Is that one Nigeria's problem again? Or is Nigeria issuing visas to Nigerians in Nigeria? Or should Nigeria force embassies to relocate to the East so that you can easily access visas there? Everyone who wants to apply for visa either goes to Lagos or Abuja, depending on the country issuing the visa. There is no federal presence in the East? Lol. Is that so? 1. Are there federal roads passing through the east? 2. Are there federal secretariat's in the state capitals in the East? 3. Are there government colleges in the East? 4. Are there federal universities in the East? 5. Are there federal teaching hospitals in the East? I even learnt there's an orthopaedic specialist hospital owned by the federal government in the East too. One in the East, one in the west, Lagos and I think one in the North. 6. Are there federal ministers of eastern origin serving in Buhari's cabinet and other past administrations too? 7. Is the east connected to the national power grid? 8. Do you have military barracks in the East or not? 9. Is the Nigerian Police Force present in the East? 10. Do you have customs and immigration offices in the East? 11. Is the eastern region well represented in the federal house of assembly? 12. Were the eastern states included in the N-Power money sharing scheme for small scale entrepreneurs which was distributed by the VP Osinbajo? 13. Are easterners allowed to be employed in the federal civil service or not? 14. Do your states collect federal allocations monthly? Do you get the point yet, or you want me to continue? Maybe you are waiting for Nigeria to relocate her federal capital Territory to Enugu or Anambra before you accept that there is federal presence in the East. The list goes on and on, and you can pretend that Igbo people have been treated fairly, but it doesn't matter. Because the truth is the truth. It is a pity that you guys are so used to pulling out the persecution complex that when we point it out, you think we hate you. From the list above, I'm sure other Nigerians can multiply it and show you your error. Igbos are not marginalised in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, you have never been in opposition party in Nigeria except for when Buhari won in 2015. So, the question is, why didn't you do for yourselves what you are now crying of lacking when you were in power? The Yorubas have always been in the opposition and discriminated against, but you won't hear pim. Like I said, the truth is bitter but we will all have to swallow it like that. |

Is this what Igbo tribe is talking about? Is that how your tribe understand marginalization of igbos? Even when past head of states are concurring with the Igbo race and seeking for a better option of restructuring? I tire for ndi Yoruba and how their brain function. Thank God they world is seeing how ignorance translate to sophistication in western Nigeria. Problem with majority of yorubas both online and offline is thT they believe they know.. while they know nothing.
