His social activism seems to be his Achilles heel. As seen in these clips, at different fora, ousted Emir Lamido Sanusi never failed to criticize the government and elites, especially those from the northern extract which he hails from; accusing them of neglecting and impoverishing its people.

Examples seen in the clip are the issue of 80% of northerners living in poverty, whilst its southern neighbors have the same 80%; but who live above the poverty mark.

Another is the issue of people of the northern extract getting married to up to 4 wives and having many children; without any means of catering for the children's needs, especially education, that is why they have the highest out of school children in the country.

On his part, Governor Ganduje played his cards well by waiting till after the elections and his confirmation as the governor in the courts before dethroning Emir Sanusi.

But, also reading deep into your write up, I just came up with these thoughts; we know he is part of the ELITES, asides his public speeches, has he in any way done anything to impact the lives of the poor? Any scholarships granted or schools built by him during his tenure? What of vocational skills acquisition centers?

Well, he should use this dethronement as a blessing in disguise and rise up to the occasion by not being only a spokesman, but a mentor to the poor in his region.
