There are many tools in Data analysis/ Data Science. If for instance, I were to go for interview, would the interviewer test me with their own Computer or would I be required to go along with mine? I'm asking because it's possible that one prefers Tableau to learning Excel for visualization. Is it possible that the coy tests you with their own Computer where they don't exactly use the tools you're comfortable with? Or must one learn everything? I know it's a silly question but I'd appreciate inputs. 8 Likes |

Kaycee54321: I believe they must have gone through your CV or LinkedIn profile so they know what they want and what you can offer, also they might prefer you use your own system since you’re familiar with it. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Toppytek: I keep seeing this clause "BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics" And I have a BSc in a soft STEM course (Biological Sciences). I know Op has same kind of degree but I wonder if it's still feasible now to get employed without relevant first degree. |
Re: Chronicle Of A Data Scientist/analyst by Autodidact101: 1:15am On Mar 11, 2020 |
Kaycee54321: It's still possible, yes. The most important thing is to have a first degree. Now you can overcome this shortcoming of not having a degree in these aforementioned disciplines by showing some impressive projects, certificates that you've been able to accomplish with the language(s) or tools in question (Python, MySQL etc) 9 Likes 2 Shares |
