Good morning mama's, please my 2yr old DD came back from school with her eye/ face swollen and in serious pain,I asked from the teacher and owner of the school what happened to her and they insisted she fell from her seat, and that's a big fat lie,how can a child fall from those seats in preschool and get a swollen eye?
I have left them for God and their conscience to judge them, the pain is almost gone now but it has resulted to her having a BLACK EYE,it looks like when someone got a blow or a serious slap on the face.
Please mama's is there any cream or ointment I can apply to clear it?

Massage it with warm water. Just go round with a warm towel, after which you can pump or express. Continue to put baby to breast, it will resolve soon.

Congratulations.

Introducing our baby massage oil. This product doubles as a body oil and a gentle mosquito repellant.

Be sure to apply all over the body and wear loose fitted clothing for little "ta-ta".

Don't believe us? Well a trial is all we ask grin

Make sure you are pumping even after you start breastfeeding to know how much milk is coming out. In the meantime, hope baby is eating formula as you're waiting for breast milk.

Hello Mamas,

Can we discuss Episiotomy please? The pain from the suture site is PAINFUL.

Yes , I'm doing the sitz bath (Warm water, salt and a dash of savlon)

I also got a cooling spray which works briefly and the pain returns.

Dear mamas who had the cut/tear, what are your tried and tested methods for healing? Kindly share, this pain is getting out of hand, I have finished taking all the prescribed painkillers.

This is 8 days after delivery...

Graced, what’s the name of the spray you are using?
I think it depends on the degree of tear you got. It will heal. Just continue with the sitzbath morning and evening

Thanks for responding.

I got a cut, not a tear.

Attached is the spray I'm currently using as I haven't been able to find Dermoplast in store.

A doctor friend advised I return to the hospital for them to check the suture. He says perhaps the string used is not the type that absorbs, hence the sting.

Hello Mamas,

...
Chai. Pele. I remember that PAIN oooooo. That pain almost made me enter into depression. I had it for 6 months. It refused to heal. A midwife looked at it and said the person that stiched me left out some parts. I could see a red flap of skin hanging out(that red flap is supposed to be inside me)
That was how I turned to researcher. I didn’t want to go back to the hospital and have it Redone. A few things I remember I did was religious sitz bath(it gave me relief, sometimes penicillin and sometimes gentian violet(I think this worked really good), it made the site dry and the red flap shrieked really fast.
But all in all you will be fine. It will heal with time. You can also consider having a medical personnel take a look so your mind can be at rest
Also you are just about one week gone so please give your body time. It will heal. Our bodies are different some heal in 3 weeks some 6 months angry

Thank you so much for the reassurance.

Yes I intend to just go back to the hospital and have it looked it just so I know all is right down there and i just need to give it time to heal.

I had an episiotomy for my first and even though it was done while the epidural was still in effect (I had no pain meds with this stitch), I dont remember it being so dramatically painful. I could sit easily within a few days and I didnt even do the sitz bath religiously so this is all new.

Thank you again. Do stay well

I might be wrong but I don't think it should be that painful. It also depends on the kind of cut you had but check back with your doctor. I felt better after day 3 sef.

Go back to the hospital to get it checked out. You can only guess and still be in pains.
