Eze C Ilomuanya of Orlu in IMO state was dethroned by oga Roro. In my hometown an Ezeigwe was dethroned because he ordered for the execution of a little baby crying when something that had to do with the king was happening. Igbo doesn't have monarch. They were republican in nature, na Britiko introduced warrant chiefs to them, and these warrant chiefs later became Igwe after they left. Note that most of the warrant chiefs were people that were once banished from their various communities due to one or two crimes, taboo committed, the white men imposed them on Igbo communities to help them collect taxes. These warrant chiefs were brutish due to how they were treated before their banishment, their atrocities led to the Aba women riot......
