Mohammed Isah: Ugwuanyi’s Commitment To Our Goal Exceptional by OEPHIUS(m): 3:17am On Mar 12, 2020
The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Prof. Mohammed Isah, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his commitment in ensuring public office holders’ strict compliance with the rules of the Bureau, as exceptional and worthy of emulation.

Speaking when he led members of the Board of the Bureau to the Government House, Enugu, on a courtesy visit, Prof. Isah, stated that the governor has been very supportive to the establishment in terms of enforcement of the Code of Conduct rules.

The Code of Conduct Chairman disclosed that he was impressed to note that Gov. Ugwuanyi ensured that the public office holders (Exco members) who served during his first term in office duly declared their assets before collecting their severance allowance, stating that “no state has done it before”.

Prof. Isah, who urged the governor to “continue your good job in fighting corruption”, called on other leaders in the country to emulate his good gesture.

He said that “Enugu is one of the well established and highly developed states, by all standards, in Nigeria”, adding that “a lot of investments have been made in Enugu State and this is a result of good governance of His Excellency (Ugwuanyi) and his predecessors”.

The Chairman disclosed the Bureau’s approval to establish its South East Zonal office in Enugu to enable them expand their services as well as investigate and prosecute all cases of non-compliance in the zone.

“We have investigators, we have prosecutors. In all the state offices, we don’t have investigation and prosecution units but with the development of the establishment of zonal offices, when they come on board, we are going to have investigators and prosecutors”, he explained.

Prof. Isah informed the governor that they are in Enugu for the nationwide enlightenment workshop for public officers on the imperative of strict compliance with asset declaration and Code of Conduct, which commences on Thursday.

Responding, Gov. Ugwuanyi, who welcomed the Chairman and members of the Board to the state, endorsed the exercise, disclosing that “the public officers of our state are adequately mobilized and ready for this important engagement with your Bureau”.

Enugu State is in the hands of God!##

Nonsense talk.
What's he really saying?
How much did Ugwuanyi pay on this extortion visit?

The truth is that God will one day punch all the sycophants and propagandists in our precious Enugu State being lead by a non performing Governor.

Pensioners in Enugu State are yet to be paid their monthly stipends since over a year now.

Our Governor is not paying attention to the whole of Enugu Metropolis neither can he hold claim to any tangible project in other Local Governments Areas outside Nsukka Axis

All the roads in Uwani, Kenyetta Road, the whole of Idaw River Layout (umuchu, Mount, Ikiriki, Omachiana, Ozalla) as well as the road to the residential settlement behind Guru Maharaji (Aria Road) are amongst the worst, look at the whole Achara Layout: Awkunanaw Street, Etudo, Obianodo, Igbariam, Ubaka to mention but a few.

I don't want to talk about the roads in Abakpa or the ones in Emene but remember to wear diving gears if you want to follow Annunciation HOSPITAL road or Sooil Plaza Road.
One-Day road is terribly in deplorable condition so are all adjoining roads in their respective axis.

All the link roads from Enugu-PH express are terrible: the road linking the express to and from Amaechi flyover, the road linking Enugu - PH express to and from Ugwuaji fly over, Ugwuaji road is death trap, Oji River link road to Enugu - Onitsha Express to mention but a few.
Almost all the primary and secondary schools in the state are in deplorable condition.
The State Library before Ogbete is a house of rodents and hudlums.. His predecessors left high standards that he has never come close to making a match.

Sullivan did marvelously well, look at Akwatta in Ogbete, a right thinking Governor should have made it a priority to complement Sullivan's achievements on the road by doing something to the two roads leading to and from the market knowing fully well that the place contributes considerable quota in IGR of the state. Same goes to the industrial layout at Red Cross Road at Holy Ghost and the defunct Industrial Estate at Zik Avenue after First Bank before MTN office.

Rural Communities like Ogulogu in Ezeagu, Iwollo etc will believe that Christ's second coming will happen more quickly than their roads receiving government attention.

He knows he has done nothing commensurate with the funds the state is receiving from federal government that's why he spends a lot on image laundering.

We know lots of you are doing your jobs as paid propagandists and image launderers. The hustle is real and unemployment rate is high but be mindful of the fact that everyone is well aware of his non performance. We are aware that you people pay your way to Frontpage in Nairaland.

Some even make the mods to hide or ban opposing views all in the name of hustle.
No be una fault sha but u people should know that Enugu State has never had it this bad and no condition is permanent

How many times will you continue to condemn this governor on your frivolous excuses? I may not be a fan of the governor but its high time you became fair to him.

Is Punch the prof that told you no state have ever allowed the political appointees to declare their asset except Enugu state? I have always observed a lot of kids in this nairaland bashing this man for no justifiable reason.

Their reason is that he is not doing anything in Enugu metropolis. You forget that Enugu does not start and end in the metropolis. This guy have done some works in the rural areas. This guy have renovated a lot of secondary schools. He is not owing salary unlike so many other states at present. He is not owing much debt either. Still does work in the city. Don't forget he does not have a lot of allocation like Sullivan had.
He has not sold any Enugu asset and made money from it. Sullivan sold polo park, he sold the zoo and many others.

Sullivan might be better but Ugwuanyi is not as bad as you guys always potray him. Look at the peaceful atmosphere in Enugu state. He is surely doing his best. You can try to contest in your councillorship ward if you think you can make a better impact next time. No leader can be loved by all.

Since you know these sycophants, what is their monthly salary?

Why are you not a member?

Are you a sychophant for Sullivan?

How much does it cost to make it to the front page.

Please, if you can, help me with the contact of moderators. I want to run for local government election in my state any time the time table is out.

I wanted to say shutup but I'm in a good mood this evening.
Just get out and get lost.

Who's this one again. What is he saying.
Are you sure you have been to Enugu let alone knowing Enugu.

90% of Enugu indigenes and residents are badly disappointed with the Governor.

The only development in Enugu are billboards of the governor. Damn too bad
He put the state in the hands of God na. grin
