Wow!!! I joined this thread to see how this rideshare thing works. I was hoping I can buy a few cars to try it out but the ways and manner some owners here are complaining about some drivers not remitting money in time is scary. This is still sounding like the same Danfo business I did many years back. Everyday story!

I will probably have to discuss business like this with my doctor to know if my blood pressure medication can handle this.
Driver is key. Majority of people who own cars don't have a good driver selection process. It has never been, and would never be about getting a guarantor for drivers.

Just like in all facets of life, some drivers are more serious than others. The key to being successful is selecting the right drivers. That's not an open secret, thereby making a lot of investors fail.

The removable one would be better for me too. My car is not always on Bolt.

That I can't guarantee. But then a better option for folks who want to use it as and when due is to laminate it and serve the rider as soon as the step into the vehicle cheesy.

Prevention is better than cure, I believe this will go along way in curbing thefts, mistrust and abuse of e-hailing services.

A very good idea. Does any body know how to get a POS one can be carrying about for payment transactions. This transfer thing is getting out of hand. There is no driver here that has not falling victim. With Bolts lackadaisical attitude towards the whole thing. They keep passing the blame to drivers. And yet they want drivers to act professionally.

I understand you sire, but it's not a challenge

Have you paid with transfer in KFC, Chicken Republic or ShopRite?

Have you paid with transfer in a filling station before?

Why can't the same rider speaking grammar for you to understand, go and speak it there?

Let's enjoy the thread bro. To each, his own cool

Yes I have paid with transfer at fuel stations and chicken republic.

Transfer is not an acceptable payment means yes, but when a rider wants to pay by that means, don’t make a fuss.

Move on!

good morning house,
please I don't understand this Bolt rating again. how can my rating drop from 4.82 to 4.60 in one day and I never heard any issues with my riders, intact we converse and joked well. that was last week and I didn't work since then but yesterday I did just 3 rides and this morning I have done 2 rides but I noticed my rating has dropped to 4.48 this morning. please am confused, what I'd the lowest rating I could get and what are the consequences from bolt.
you talk too much with them. You can be very professional without opening your mouth. Only speak when spoken to. Your rating on bolt is an average of your last 40 trips

Contact your financial service provider. Basically it would require a current account, specific turn over and location factor.

Current account? Easy
Location? Lagos? Perfect
Turnover? Do you make up to N5m > a month?

You should also take note of its CONS. For someone who hustles in the NIGHT, you might end up being used as a picker for kidnappers and robbers.

Nigeria basically imports everything. So cars coming in either for personal use or business use will be affected. The dollar has gone up now ,meaning for me to buy USA is at the rate of 375 naira. The cost of spare parts is also going to go up . Importers need dollars to buy parts from abroad, basically the cost of imported items is about to increase no matter how you look am ...

There is a recession coming soon , it has started showing signs in Europe and USA .. And Nigeria that depends on oil and goods from China, will feel it the worse

i like your analysis, we are in deep shit, dangote lost almost 250 billion, if dangote is losing, nigeria is losing, we will soon be in a recession, so people need to prepare, i think a dollar will be 400-500 naira soon.

Russia and saudi arabia are playing a great price war, i believe russia will win, russia supplies 70% of europe gas needs, they have leverage and can earn more revenue from gas while they play games on opec with oil, you know Russia isn't a member of opec, they can do as they like, that is why saudi arabia wants a deal with them to reduce production. The saudis will soon come begging.

This corona virus is destroying weak economy like Nigeria, the demand of oil has fallen due to the virus, the economy is interdependent of each other to function, this basically can affect transport business, oil price has fallen, less revenue for Nigeria, government and private companies might start owning salaries, the less money consumers have in their hands, the less they order uber and taxify.

I don't think cos he conversed wt d clients DTS y d rating is low.

A lot of riders don't really know how to use the bolt app. So wen it com's to rating you, some genuinely intend to give you 5 star, but you know dy start ticking from d 1st star, ( the app wants you to do the rating quickly)

the prompt goes off n maybe d rider has only imputed 3 stars.

Imagine a case of 10 riders like that.

To drivers complaining about fake transfers why don't you just change from receiving alert on your phone number to your email account with your bank since you almost always have data, plus no services would be charged since it's through your email
You probably can't receive a fake alert there

I don't think there there will be much ripple effect on transportation in Nigeria and in some other sectors; In regards to the dropped prices of oil by Saudi Arabia to spite Russia.

Drop prices would only affect the oil companies by shrinking productivity hence, which might result to laying off some staffs; Now if there will be any ripple effect in Nigeria economy - The banks who loans these oil companies will take a hit not the transportation sector of the economy - On the contrary; These soon to be laid off oil workers might even convert their cars to Ehailing cars flooding the market or some might turn drivers which isn't bad at all.

My future prediction - Russia is just being greedy and opportunist, Saudi is just being protective of their main source of income and business interests and the U.S is looking at both them so funny because in the end they still will trade with the almight Dollar.

Once these Coronavirus pandemic dies down which I believe (half the time is causing this overreaction), Russia would suck it up not having to be greedy and Saudi will sheath thier sword - But for Nigeria we would take advantage of this whole situation to purposely make our economy unstable so lots of corruption would be committed in the political level, economical level etc due to a little unstability of naira to the dollar.

oil prices have drop, the drop in oil price will affect every sphere of the Nigerian economy, government will not be able to meet her revenue target, some private companies might go out of business and staffs will be layed off, if government does not meet revenue or its obligations, they wont be able to pay salaries, less money on people hands meaning less people using uber and taxify.

when thinking about the economy, know that every sphere of the economy is interdependent on each other, if one sector collapses, if will affect other sectors

for russia and saudi, both are protecting their economy, demand for oil has fallen due to corona, saudi wants russia to cut production, russia who is not a member of opec is saying NO, the saudis have decided to over flood the market with oil therefore leading to a fall in price of oil, russia has leverage because they can do what they want to protect their economy, the more russia and saudi produces, the more oil prices go down, saudi arabia will have to come with a better deal for russia, also russia supplies europe with 70% of their gas needs,so they have leverage and can decide to play the game the way they like, so expect this price war to go on for long till saudi offer a better deal to russia.

If 10 out of 25 riders do this weekly what do you expect of me? No be village I go go back to? Now tell me why devil shouldnt kill such a rider that wants to send me back to my village.

Me: are you surprised
