We have been running a deficit budget for the past how many years now. wetin cause am? Because if things were done strictly according to ur explaination of waiting for revenue before making expenditure there shouldn't be a deficit.

They are not mutually exclusive, sir! Shortage of revenue can result in budget deficit as projects highlighted in the Budget for instance won't get funded. In the case of recurrent, governments will find it difficult to pay salaries and weve seen that happen when oil came to 25$! Incase of ongoing projects, it leads to review of completion dates with dwindling revenue and insufficient funding. Monies are usually released in trenches tho. Except in rare cases like when the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport was to be renovated, the then minister of finance sourced for the full fund and paid in full, hence why Hadi Sarika had the balls to put his job on the line regarding the date of completion!

Let's not give ourselves unnecessary headache. All of these are speculations..most officers I asked are not even enlightened about the recruitment issue, all they said was that the CG is a difficult guy and only him knows what and how he intends to go about it. They further adviced we pay money to nobody for promise of been recruited.
Guys if rumor has it that it's end of the month, then let's relax our minds till then. Atleast by then or possibly b4 then, the picture will have been clearer to us.

If most officers are not enlightened, then most likely, the end of the month rumours are false. Personally, i think we're going to wait more than expected especially with all the economic crisis. June/July should be more realistic

Thank you. This fiscal year is still on deficit bro. The budget is mostly finance with debts....like 2 trillion naira to service this year debt, Amidst this, 50 dollar was benchmark to meet up with all these. And suddenly it drop to 31 dollar. What i am saying is that the shock from drops in oil price could trigger a lot of things.
After all, I am anticipating the same way you are. And I don't pray for any more delay before we hear from our friend. And most importantly ,may God make us among the successful one.

I always knew delay is dangerous. They should have just released the list since to avoid the stories that are about to start coming up
