Romanoff:ok young woman, I'd love this generator bill stuff, but shouldn't the senator be more concerned with solving the power problems in the country before coming up with this bill? Some people i know never see light for over a year now. Me i have been in a situation where i didn't see light for close to 2 years or even more. This is nigeria. 2 Likes |

Romanoff: WHY? U support people to go jail because they have generator. U support ban of generator when they are not capable enough to supply 247 - stable electricity. U support business to shut down because the government don't want them to use gen and whereas they could not provide the stable electricity they need. 4 Likes |

Romanoff:This Senators can afford to equip their house with solar panels and inverter, Generator are for the middle and lower class now in Nigeria. Why can't he suggest a bill to jail power generating, distribution companies? Why not ban importation of pumping machines too! 2 Likes |
Re: Senators That Sponsored Three Controversial Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 1:38pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
The bill is not that important. If there is 'NEPA' light, nobody will use generator. The demand for it will be low and sellers out of business. He should instead sponsor a bill to criminalize blackout from NEPA. slimfit1: 2 Likes |

slimfit1:Yes, let's ban generators and kill businesses. Let citizens die of heat stroke (Lagos is currently 32 degrees C these days, Abuja 36, and Lokoja 38.). A good doctor kills the patient he's trying to cure. Very smart. 5 Likes |

slimfit1: With due respect, methinks you are in the same pack of dunderheads with the senator in question! The first question a reasonable person should ask is: What is the quantity of electricity Nigeria is generating today vis-a-vis it's population?! Then you proceed to compare the quantity of electricity being produced in Nigeria with other countries with smaller population such as South Africa! When you get the answer to the above, your brain will now tell you that it is not generator sellers/importers that is the cause of the problem; rather it is the failure of our leaders to generate electricity sufficient for the population! So, the whole blame fall squarely on Nigerian government !! 3 Likes 1 Share |

Generator bill makes no sense ....WHY? 1. If you are going to criminalize people who already have it. 2. When govt put in place approval to have a gen, you know its another level for corruption because you wont be approved if you dont pay heavy bribe. 3. No buy back system in place. Just like buy back for guns...put a buy back program in all local govt where ppl can voluntarily sell to govt and govt can export to countries where it is needed.. e.g Niger Rep. Ghana, Liberia the list goes on. 4. Take food away from generator mechanics...how do they feed their family? Boko haram recruitment to the rescue. 5. Kills ingenuity what happen to the gifted who want to manufacture generators? America and china have 24hrs light but still manufactures gen set. Have baked lawless leaders passing laws to destroy the individual creativity we have. 2 Likes |

the only bill they will bring that will be sensible is that the children of all public office holders must attend government schools, use government hospitals here in Nigeria. and also the president and senate must have Phd, governors and house of Rep (federal and state) must have Masters degree, Local Govt chairman must have BSc/HND, Councillors and ward chairman must have OND. then give Nigeria 10 years and see how America will be rushing for our Visa. if you support click like if not dont share |

slimfit1: Are you for real? Can't believe one will support an obvious, wicked, impoverishing and enslaving plan against the poor masses. The summary of the whole plan is to make elites use generators while the poor masses will not. Again what did you think of the so called waiver? Enriching cronies. Smh 1 Like 1 Share |
