WES Misinterpreted DOB. 04/09/ Was Read As April 9th Instead Of 4th Of September by intanalcode: 4:15pm On Mar 14, 2020
Hello,

I just got my final WES report.

Correct Date of Birth is - 04/09/1990

That is the Date my school sent to WES.

According to Nigeria Date format (DD/MM/YYYY) it is 4th of September 1990 which is correct.

But WES intepreted it as April 9th, 1990. Which I suspect they used Canada date format to interpret it (MM/DD/YYYY).

How do I resolve it or It doesn't matter?

You can send them an email to that effect. But whenever you're doing anything in North America, you have to use their date format which is mm/dd/yyyy unlike ours and british system with dd/mm/yyyy.

So the mistake actually came from you.

They used the date on My Transcript which was correctly typed as 04/09/1992. (4th September)

I already sent them an email but they insisted I should contact my school even when they know this is just a case of misinterpretation from their end.

So, simply contact your school and let them authenticate the DOB then the WES will resend your report.
