Beautiful. We need more and more. I don't mind that money from South is used to develop the North, as people like pointing out. That's what most countries do. I've never seen a country with the same amount of resources spread all over. You develop different regions with what's available and make the nation as a whole great. Truth is there are resources in the North that we as a nation have ignored for a while. Many states all over North and South have these resources, and if we were a serious country, we would have paid attention to all of them, instead of focusing solely on oil. This is not the fault of a person from the North, but of Nigeria's leadership (who we have the power to choose, I must point out) Some materials of interest to me that could be used if we were serious (I'm including middle-belt in this list): Tin: Plateau Lead-zinc: Benue (batteries for solar) Silica: Kano, Jigawa (solar cells, controller chips) Uranium: Borno (alternative power) Iron: Kogi (steel) Gypsum: Adamana (glass making, chemicals) Talc: Niger (pharmaceuticals) For most of us, especially our leaders, we learned this list only to pass exam, and have since forgotten the potential. I'm into computer systems. If I had the money, or could convince enough people with money, I would set up a silicon industry in Kano to create chips and solar cells. We have the money in this country for private industry to pour $4 billion to make this happen. We have over 300million people in Ecowas we could provide phones and solar panels for. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Arrewa:If u want to promote the north to the world, go and take clue from what they do in anambra thread. Fighting people from the south won't help u. Use real pictures not Ariel views Promote factories and industries if u have any. Promote govt developments and initiatives especially in education and living conditions. Also stop repeating pictures. That's why lots of people don't take u serious. U post the same pictures and start posting bad pictures from South. Are u promoting the face of the north or busy fighting. If u know what your aim is for starting this, then do it. I actually want the north to develop. So many good people there but they don't know anything. Those that know are using them as pawns for politics. This is why people are angry with the north. 22 Likes 4 Shares |

This is outside: what of the inside? It is the inside that counts the most. Level of HDI is very low in the North. 80% of the poorest Nigerians live in the North. Only 10% of Sokoto indigenes are literate. These issues take the shine off these grandiose projects. It was the emphasis on the unseen issues that put Lamido Sanusi into trouble with the state governor. Edited: it's actually about 22% of Sokoto indigenes that are literate 10 Likes |

Great views. While in the south east we are busy shouting IPOB IPOB and not holding most of our Governors accountable. God bless Nigeria. The major thing they should work on in the north is human development. Good work though. 7 Likes 4 Shares |
