Hello Everyone, I have been a silent reader but just created an account to share my testimony. 1st Online Submission : September 10th 2019 Correspondent Letter : October 15th 2019 Refusal Letter : October 15th 2019 2nd Online Submission : February 12th 2020 Original Passport Request Letter : March 6th 2020 Visa Stamped : awaiting because I just sent my passport on Monday Resumption Date : September 2020 Here’s my story, I initially applied for a study permit last year. I was denied but I didn’t care to reapply because I thought I would just focus on Australia or US. However, things changed and I just made up my mind to leave Nigeria come rain , come sunshine. I was among the people that got affected by that lagos fire in December 2019. I lost almost everything I had and the government till today has not done anything or compensated us. Anyway, a friend of mine told me about reapplying but I brushed it away. Told him I’m tired of Canada and their wahala. He told me to just try again and I should check Nairaland for tips etc. That’s how everything I started. My university accepted to defer my admission for this years entry. I reapplied with the same exact documents. I just printed new statement. Then I rewrote my SOP & LOE. There was this twitter guy that helped me with the SOP & LOE. Everything else I did myself with the tips from here. I did not pay any agent at all! Agent ruined me last time. When I got my medical request , i didn’t even take it serious or rushed it. Infact I already lost hope and excitement. I still went ahead to do it and just believed that highest it will just be lost money nothing more. To make this short, please keep trying. I just want to tell everyone here to not GIVE UP. Even if you have been denied , try again if you can. Do not use agent if possible because they will just fill rubbish for you on the form. Do it yourself. It is time consuming but worth it. Make sure your SOP is standard. Don’t write stories that touch for them. Straight the point and concise. I will upload my documents later I applied to Uni of Windsor. Paid all my fees etc . Two years Msc. Over 40m in my personal account and showed property documents. I believe that at times they just deny someone automatically like its computer based I dunno. Just don’t give up please God bless 19 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Kinzeerichy: 6:37pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
Naijaforeigner: Thank you very much. I have noted everybody and Blema’s comments with high importance. I will exclude and include documents as suggested thus far. I can also exclude the “1 year thing” in my study leave letter and just state that my study leave have been approved and that I’m expected to return without stating the 1 year period. Although, completion date on my acceptance letter is 2021 but there’s every likelihood that it might take more than a year. I should be able to wait till mid-end of April and apply myself without an agent. I’m presenting my uncle as brother. To establish relationship, I’m thinking of doing an affidavit of loss of his birth certificate which will reflect my dad and mum’s name or meet this local Govt people to do a back-dated birth certificate for him reflecting my dad and mum’s name. Please which is better? Thank you. |

Is letter of introduction /reference for previous job which is above 10 years required? If yes how can one a letter of introduction for such a company?(The company is no more on existence) How old can a reference letter from current employer be as they can't be writing every time? Can it be 1 or 2 or 3 months old? Is it mandatory for salary to be mentioned in the reference letter? |

Kinzeerichy:Switching schools is the easiest part of whole thing (don't think about that for now). Yes you can wait for your other application to be approved,. it what it doesn't get approved then? Don't you think you would have wasted precious time? Apply now with what you have since you have funds to cover your tuition and living expenses already, except if you don't have the said fund you talked about initially. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Naijaforeigner: 9:33pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
Kinzeerichy: Yes your study leave letter is a very important document. Let it just state something like “we are granting you leave for your study and wish you all the best” something like that without indicating the year. Bro, if he is actually your uncle, from father or mothers side, tell the truth. Your uncle is also someone close and it is acceptable. Forget about all those things you are trying to do, it is not necessary. Let him explain why he wants to sponsor you. A convincing reason in his letter of sponsorship. Submit proof of how he is related to your dad or Mum, international passport page and other documents earlier mentioned. Submit and leave the rest with God. Your application is solid, don’t entertain doubts, fear or any voice trying to tell you to cut corners. P.s whatever I have told you is how I will go about mine if I were in your shoes. If you are not satisfied with my advise, you can do what your spirit tells you. I wish you all the best. |

Hey guys So I got rejected and just picked up my passport today. I got to know I was refused through my account online. But I’ve not still gotten the reason why I was rejected. There’s no message on my account online and no email has been sent regarding my rejection. I was hoping the refusal reasons were going to come with my passport but to my surprise, it didn’t. I only got a small slip saying “all important information has been sent to your email” but nothing was sent. Please guys help. How can I get to know the reasons why I was refused? |
