I think we need to interpret what is happening in global stock markets especially US as it relates with ours.like someone said earlier, it's a health issue not a financial crisis. The reason for the volatility of Dow is the spike in the cases of the virus in the country. This will definitely lead to panic and fear hence the selling spree. Coming back home, there has only been 2 cases here in Nigeria. Our exchange has had it's fair share of the volatility. Most stocks have either reached their 52wk low or broken it and are reversing. I am of the opinion that although there might be drop in prices of stocks but it will not be as bad as few weeks ago. 1 Like |

Have you ever heard of the word "dropshipping". Dropshipping in Nigeria is a lot more cost effective than wholesale. Wholesale in Nigeria is costly as you need to bulk order products without knowing if you will sell all the stock you have received. With dropshipping you don’t need to place an order with your supplier until a customer has placed an order with you. |

Michael820:Haaaaaa, count which loss? Even if nah afolabi units you bought, the loss go shake you small ooo considering the current prices of these stocks. Sir, you bought into sound companies so just wait it out and enjoy your dividend while you await market recovery. In fact, if the cash still dey, abeg continue to buy more in accordance with your investment plan(weekly, monthly or quarterly). 2 Likes 1 Share |

yom2: I think the responses thus far will at least prevent such from happening... Central banks, govts are even front-loading solutions to these problems. And if and that's a big IF, any of this happens, it will be a soft landing one... BTW, this moment is what Warren Buffet talked about - Four or five times during their lifetimes, investors will see incredible opportunities in equity markets and they have to have the mental fortitude to jump in when most are jumping out. if you know, you know.... No shaking! 2 Likes 1 Share |
