Oba of Benin and alaafin of oyo are extremely powerful kings. There is a myth that the alaafin's palace is the meeting point of the most powerful witches. Iyaami eleye, aro igba aso mabale. ( The women who can tie two hundred rappers without any touching the ground) But there is a higher power which is the AARE crown worn by oduduwa himself and subsequent ooni. OONI ADIMULA is on another terrestrial level |

johnwarax: Oba Ewuare, during his visit to the ooni of ife, in his speech which was quoted in the tribune thus: “I want to say it gives me great pleasure to visit His Imperial Majesty today in countinuation of my nationwide thank you call to traditional rulers, and other eminent personalities that graced my coronation on October 20, 2016, which by the divine grace of God is also my birthday. This visit has long been planned but due traditional and other palace engagements in Benin, it is coming at this time. My post-coronation thank-you tour commenced with a visit last year to President Buhari and the Sultan of Sokoto. I thank God for making this visit possible. https://tribuneonlineng.com/when-oba-of-benin-visited-ooni-of-ife/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

davidnazee: If you don't know, maybe you should go and investigate. Do you know that any Crown Prince of Benin Kingdom need to come to Ìfẹ́ for Spiritual seclusion, before he can be crown King. Have you asked yourself why. In history of hierarchy, the lower goes to higher for permission before being crown not other way around. 1 Like 1 Share |

MyVILLAGEpeople:The Oba was given the option to reply the court in writing or send a representative. But he decided to appear in person. A huge crowd walked with the Oba to the court. It wasn't even the aim of Igbinedion to make Oba Erediauwa appear in court. Remember Oba Erediauwa was educated at Cambridge (Law degree) and previously a consummate permanent secretary at Gowon's Cabinet office. Effectively head of the technocratic machinery of the military government back then. He did things thoroughly or not do at all. It was out of great reverence to his father Oba Akenzua that he didn't strip Igbinedion of his Esama title. Igbinedion was made Esama by Oba Akenzua. Just putting it in perspective. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sewgon79:Oba of Benin does no seclusion in Ife. All the stations on the way to coronation are known. I can explain all to you if you wish to know. Though done secretly at midnight, even the coronation station is known. Even if not seen by many. I have relatives who are either town chiefs, palace chiefs, priestly chief involved at virtually every stage of coronation. Even one of the 6 original Elders ( 5 actually before Oloton came with Oramiyan to join them) of Benin (colloquially called kingmakers present) at coronation. They are actually king crowners. But in reality, since about 580 years nobody puts the crown on Oba's head. He does it himself in their presence. Abeg ask people who know. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Stupidity of governorship. Fake and lame kings or titlers with shady and unimpressive histories. Let them keep their titles, and give them authority over their supporters properties. Just make it clear to them that they will not be any more govt money, cars, any type of allowance, or tolerate any land grab from people that don't support them. |
