What did you do differently from the school? My son is writing Junior waec this year. I am his tutor. I bought all the textbooks for JS3 and past questions which I ask him to read and explain those he doesn't understand. What more do you think I should do? Do you think I should ask him to read JS1 and JS2 textbooks also instead of just his school notebooks?

Ask him to change to UI. If he meets other requirements, he will be admitted. However, he should not do clearance after his admission; she should defer it. I have seen many people that did that.

Thank God I had written JAMB before the use of CBT. I have this phobia for CBTs, majority of job tests I did thta were CB, I failed. I will be concentrating on the time on the screen instead of the questions. The time clock takes 80% of my attention
Then my mind will start playing with me, "what if the system goes off or network becomes an issue?", Before I know it, I have starting doing "ini mini mani mo" just to finish before time

It is unfortunate I did not have any of my private students writing maths in this year's jamb.
But the few that did physics. The result coming is encouraging.

Parents get a private teacher for your child in physics, chemistry, maths. Many Schools can't meet the need of your children in these subjects. The sad news is they will keep giving you false hope.

Even if your child his doing well in those subjects base on his school standard, get an independent private tutor for him.

As for my student whose result I posted we will work harder to do better in his post UTME

Is a panel exams a condition for getting admission into the University, or you want to introduce your own procedure because a candidate proved her worth. Na your type of lecturer dey fail students because they passed too much

Thanks she's been tested severally. She wrote jamb last year and got 278, U.I post UME and scored 80%. She was short of 1mark to meet the agregate required mark for MBBS so I think we can give her a trial if we get institutions giving scholarship based on performance during their own qualifying exams not necessarily via her JAMB score

He is in SS3, they might change the age of university admission to 15 years in Nigeria because youths starts at 15 now in Nigeria,
So I don't see why a youth can not be admitted to the university
