All the newbies, especially those that just got approved approved at Brandpa should stay away until they master what sells in the brandable niche. This takes time and years to master. I repeat, years of experience. Me sef still dey learn.
Dont go and start listing with extra $5 to $8 because they accept all names. You will be frustrated out and they :Dhave taken their own money.

For now, stay with brandbucket or sh that solve part of your problem by rejecting some of your bad names till you learn what works.

Only experienced domainers will benefit from the new brandpa system, if that works at all. The are currently a grandma until further notice

Thanks bro for tuning in.... Me i stopped listing at Brandpa since last year(mentioned it in one of my post back then) coz their acceptance of what i feel is brandable names is very weak.... Brandbucket remains the big player in the game and though brandpa used to be a direct competitor not anymore coz there is very low sales through rate over there in my opinion.... And now they accept pretty much everything, it becomes even more creepy because you won't know what sales and what not as there is no Guage anymore there, and i see it no different from using Squadhelp Basic premium where i list whatever i like and set my prices, i mean what's the point listing for $8/$5 when i can list elsewhere for free. I hope it works for some but for me it is a no no... I hope some newbies listen and understand sha. Good luck to Everyone.

What did I do differently?

My subject carried a question mark I.e Nigerian caterer? Caterer in Nigeria?

Salutation was Hey Username or Hi Username.


Body of mail was straight to the point: Are you interested in getting/owning/having/purchasing/etc nairaland.com for your business?.. (paraphrased)

Closing included a link to my twitter page

I bought a domain a couple of weeks ago I listed it on epik and Dan market place but the domain was already listed on afternic for 450$ and I forgot to contact afternic to delist the name, i did outbound and today I receive a message from the former owner asking how much I will sell it, I told him $499 and he later reply by declaring himself the former owner that a buyer have hit his bin on afternic. Now he is asking me how we will come to conclusion

You can equally write to Afternic, let them know you are the new owner & that you are trying to list it. It showed it is already listed. Act like you don't know what is happening

Make sure whois shows your details, use the email that is on whois to write to Afternic.

I countered the one that sent 100 with 350 and he asked me to fvck off and I actually fvcked off away from him without responding to all his abusive words. After 4 days I sent a follow up mail with $250, the two that initially requested for the price said they are not interested and I got another email that says "I will take it for 250".

Note: The person that bought the domain name never responded to my first mail. I guess the price was too high for him. So be moderate when putting price on your Geo domain.
