I used Yellow page to extract contacts.

I sent mail some minutes after I purchased the domain, I got $100 offer and other 2 people asking for price and some other information, I told them 450. I countered the one that sent 100 with 350 and he asked me to fvck off and I actually fvcked off away from him without responding to all his abusive words. After 4 days I sent a follow up mail with $250, the two that initially requested for the price said they were not interested and I got another email that says "I will take it for 250".

Note: The person that bought the domain name never responded to my first mail. I guess the price was too high for him. So be moderate when putting price on your Geo domain.

How is it possible that you guys get much end users or is the problem from my domain having few end users?

I search on Google, yellow pages, yelp and duckduckgo still I don't get up to 50 end users.

When searching, e.g Dallas plumber, all this places would display results for dallas and other towns in Texas. So I check the site to see if they are actually based in Dallas. Or have you ever had any success selling a domain name for a particular city to another city just because they are in the same state?

What of business that have branches scattered across USA? Google would still bring them out as search result just because they have a Branch in that certain location you searched. Did you had ever had success selling to them?

I'll see plenty search result for the particular geo domain I'll search but I felt they aren't real end users if the fall into this two categories, or am I doing it wrong?

And then I'll end up having few end users.

You're on point. It's not about the number of end-users you contact sometimes. Just like you, I take my time to open each individual website and check if their head office is actually situated in the city or location I'm out bounding to. I don't know for others, but I don't like disturbing person. I want to contact only people that my domain names will benefit.

Go to settings, sending window. Adjust the time you want the campaign to start. For me, I like sending from 6pm to 12 am

The domains have sold so far, if the yellow page result is not 300 above, I don't buy it.

I bought a domain a couple of weeks ago I listed it on epik and Dan market place but the domain was already listed on afternic for 450$ and I forgot to contact afternic to delist the name, i did outbound and today I receive a message from the former owner asking how much I will sell it, I told him $499 and he later reply by declaring himself the former owner that a buyer have hit his bin on afternic. Now he is asking me how we will come to conclusion

Send a mail to afternic telling them you are the new owner of the domain and you need it listed in your portfolio. Ciao

How did you manage to buy the domain?? I remember trying to buy a .us and they were asking for verification of location or something like that. What registrar did you use?

Tried this and it worked. Got 2 'no thank you'. Better than no response. We move

I've had by far the highest response rate today since I started domain outbound. Even those who never replied before did.

What did I do differently?

My subject carried a question mark I.e Nigerian caterer? Caterer in Nigeria?

Salutation was Hey Username or Hi Username.


Body of mail was straight to the point: Are you interested in getting/owning/having/purchasing/etc nairaland.com for your business?.. (paraphrased)

Closing included a link to my twitter page
