This COVID 19 issue is very serious. Canada has shut down borders and declared state of emergency in some provinces. I currently work from home because office was shut down on Monday. People are panic buying and all that. But I believe this too shall pass. Shalom. 1 Like |

allandutch: It is always advisable to visit hospital irrespective of medical knowledge. Viral and bacterial infections share similar symptoms. Only qualified professionals can distinguish between them. Superbugs are bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. It is a natural mutation due to abuse of antibiotics. Always visit a hospital when you are sick Stay safe 1 Like |

I am coming to comment. But first, let me go to the market and get more supplies. This is becoming scary. Why does it only severely affect older people? What if it was designed to wipe off the majority of old people all around the world? What if it kills off ALL of the old EVIL politicians we have in Nigeria and around the World? What if we don't make it? Bro, I don't even have a child yet oo I never imagined 2020 turning out like this. |

Psalm 91 King James Version (KJV)
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the
most High shall abide under the shadow of the
Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my
fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the
fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under
his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy
shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten
thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come
nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see
the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my
refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any
plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou
dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the
young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample
under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me,
therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high,
because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I
will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and
honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him
my salvation.

I think I have it. I have been self isolating for 8 days now with daily night fever and very slight cough. I have been fighting it with vitamin C and paracetamol. I believe I caught it on London underground about 10 to 15 days ago. It happened that I was temporary posted to central london where I had to visit our clients' businesses in the area, and the only viable means of transport is London Tube. I am getting better now, although I never went for any test as there is no provision for that in UK. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Chriswazo: Sterope: It's not easy to get examined in developed countries due to the limited number of testing kits. They will not test just anyone that shows up at the testing centres. You need a referral from a family doctor or via a specific number that you have to call, then the operator would interview you on the phone. People are experiencing long wait times as the number is overwhelmed too. In addition, you need to meet certain strict requirements: - You must have travelled and have symptoms. If the symptoms are mild, you would be told to stay home for 2 weeks in self isolation and recover. Hospitals only want severe cases to come to them. - You can only test if you are within 2 weeks of arrival into the country and you have symptoms. - You have been around a person that tested positive, and the person already has a file with the government. If the lady we believed brought it to our office had gone for a tests and confirmes positive, we would all have been mandated for a test too, but the lady did not. 2 Likes |

I'm sorry but from the testimonies here, they never tell us what medication they took to get better, this is very necessary, please. At least for those people who may catch the virus to be able to know what to take and get relived on time. |

sexylassie2:I Kuku never said I had the virus. I said I had a similar experience. It could be it or not. I do not know. Common sense tells us that gaggling with warm/hot water and salt relieves sore throat symptoms. I also do not need attention. Attention does not add to my bank account. I have been on Nairaland since 2007 and managed to stay anonymous for those years. When someone blows my cover, I change username and continue to stay anonymous The symptoms are presented differently in people. A large majority would be mild, some would be critical, and some would be severe. Most times depends on age. Glad majority of people would get over it. It's not a death sentence, and no need to panic. A state of emergency was declared in my province yesterday to prevent the health care system from getting overwhelmed. Just stay at home when the government mandates you too. It also protects alot of us that work in essential services (Healthcare, groceries and Utilities) to keep the economy running. Keep your elderly, and people with underlying medical conditions safe. We are doing our best to flatten the curve here and achieve success just like China, Korea and Singapore. European countries have started practicing social distancing too in a bid to flatten the curve. My drive to work during rush hour this morning. This is what a busy road has turned into. I am glad people are staying home. 2 Likes
