Sorry o, bros there is no competion in this market some are looking for home run (2- 10) years some are looking for 10% within 2 days, some would eventually loss money. You are on your own. Even if you take to the advise of the best minds here you are still on your own. What matter is you comfort level both in entry and exit grin grin
Exactly, sir. This is what we should be preaching and not increase the fear that is already out there in the world. All man for himself. Follow your plan, study the market, know how to read the "body language" and you'll be fine.

Those losing money are the ones buying high and selling low due to the noise here. If the loss is on paper, you'll be fine las las as far as the stocks are fundamentally sound.

Now prices are 50% lower and they are no longer sending mails.

Where are the brokers now? grin grin grin

So they are devaluing it for FPIs?

This could be seen as a Sell for some FPIs because they will be wondering how many rates the country will have : CBN official rate, NAFEX rate, black market rates, FPI rate. Do we still have interbank rates or it is now at par with NAFEX rate?

you read my mind perfectly

pus some FPI wld even see it as tokenistic and an opportunity to quickly bail out before a major one is done

Recall that during the 2014/ 2016 d peg was first moved to from 150 / 160 to 190/200 before some few months / abta year later the big move of 200 to 350 was done

Am inclined to agree with u !!

However, some of those rates are at best 'ceremonial'
...forget the CBN rate. it has never been a feasible rate !! And yes, I think the interbank rate usually pegs near or @ par to that of NAFEX.
For me, the 2 main Windows are NAFEX and the parallel mkt rate.

I think the CBN may have to converge this current window and others to the one thats mostly in use(nafex)
We await further guideline from the CBN @ the next MPC meeting next week !!

A good one from JB !! wink cheesy grin

Let's do a small math;

At today's closing price of N20.20, that script issue of 1 for 5 will compute to approx N4/share(ie 1/5 x 20.20)
Add that to the N2.75 div declaration, and u'll have a sum cashflow of N6.75.
...which equates to over 33% div yield(ie 6.75/20.20 x 100)

So an X amount of money put in this asset today should hitherto return a 0.33x multiple, ceteris paribus.
...and assuming we hinge the 33% yield to a possible price appreciation given the NSE' price cap methodology(10%/day), then I expect a 3 days price rise.(trading/investing instinct in view)
But then again, market sentiment is currently weak, so everything is possible including a price fall.

Away from price consideration, JULIUS BERGER is for the future.(more of mid-term play than short)
As I mentioned during a past analysis here, the coy is presently going through an inflection phase towards growth.
Key indicators shows that current YE FP came in good and above expectation.
Aside the quest to diversify their earnings base, the company is presently on top of very juicy contractual deals accross key states in the country.
In Port Harcourt, Rivers State(2 in Obio-akpo and 1 in PH LGA to be precise), the company is currently executing 3 gigantic fly-over bridges. ...with 70% down payment already secured from the state government.(the gov confirmed this)
Somehow, LARFAGE WAPCO is also a part of the contract.(they are the coy contracted to supply cement).
The duration(of the project) is for 18 months but I expect that the cashflow should begin to reflect in their book starting from this quarter.

...we'll see how things play out next week.

Guys be careful of open positions in the financial market.

Options expire today for the month of March.

We might see awesome gaps over the weekend.

Recession never help construction company, because during recession government will put capital project on hold, but will concentrate on wage bill of workers. The current occurrence will heavily affect the constructions firm in q1 and q2 this year.

If the price of crude oil remains down up till May, most Nigeria state will find it difficult to pay their state workers, FAAC meeting two days ago ended in deadlock. This is sign of looming financial crisis. Having study the movement of things the crude price will likely touch $20, even blow.

Euro - Dollar needs to close far below 1.0694 for it to get oversold for the year 2020.

Keep your eyes on the Euro. Once it gets oversold, the trouble in the financial market will be over.

It has started already. The euro index has been broken today. Same way the USD index got broken today.

So their fall have started.

I think it is because of the massive stimulus in the market.

Some states still have outstanding salaries owed their workers during the last recession.
I don't know how some of them will cope with oil price below $30.

With another recession insight. Budget benchmark was $58 when oil was at $70, now oil has kiss $20+ meaning that $50 dollars has been remove. In reality things are not normal, most accidentally injury don't pain immediately, but after the victim has settled down, or might have gotten home. The truth still remain that effect of current trend will heavy on our economic.
