It was confirmed on Thursday that all matches in England have been postponed until April 30 - a four-week extension to the plan that had already been put in place by football’s decision-makers.

and what about the percentage of those dead? what age range? being hospitalized does not really mean they will die!

Someone just died from being quarantined. How many beds do we have as of now in hospitals? Remember you still have to treat other ailments. I think people are not fully understanding the chaos that this could bring into our health system.

Bro stop saying the president wait for his daughter. No country would close it's border against it citizens, not even you. Borders can only be closed against foreigners

Thanks bro....you wrote the truth.

I hate It when people can say the truth...

what you wrote there is same fear and grieve i had.
I saw somewhere though not yet verified that the presidency had to wait for his daughter to return prior closing the border and banning of flights....

even few days back there was fire explosion in Lagos this man didnt visit neither did he give state house address to this and also same week he was at the commissioning of the NCC annex buildling

some here arguing for this government won't tolerate these folks manage their own companies and business.

This is actually a deviation from our discussion.

People are dying but mostly elderly people in Italy.

They should shut down the airport, Nigeria is a very useless country

Whats stopping them from shutting down the airport since ?

Many African countries have shut down their airport, and we are waiting till Monday before we close the Lagos international airport and Abuja . even the others international airport which is Kano and enugu have been shut down

We can only try our best staying at home but we cant stay at home fully because we need to go outside to get somethings , is there even light to stay at home ?

How many things do you wanna stock in your fridge in Nigeria using generator to power it, how often does nepa bring light that they want us to stay in our home

We are stuck in this for now

Why wont someone die from being quarantined?

They might put you in a room thats not comfortable for a dog to stay and throw you bread and fanta all in the name of being quarantined

That still doesn't change the fact that young people get hospitalized. The point is if someone is dying during quarantine what type of treatment do u believe an hospitalized person will get?

The young people in this country should be concerned because there would be nowhere to treat them unlike in Italy where doctors still are having to make decisions on who gets what relevant treatment. Basically if the choice is between an 80 year old or someone in their 40s the younger person gets the nod.

some here act as they've been blind to this government cluelesness even the last government too was clueless it was the heroic effort of the late Doc. that saved our ass... and not Jonathan and his gang of thieves even though the Lagos state government did quite a good job.

this are the reported cases

why do you think I am scared...

someone mentioned of a lady in Abuja who happened to return lately from the UK having all the symptoms of Convid-19 but administering self treatment don't know it to b true but I wont doubt it much

there others not reported out there....

if the government have closed and banned flights from high risk countries long enough this won't have been this bad and moreover many who contact this thing did so at the airport some should have just stayed back

We are grateful the impact of the virus in Nigeria has not really been devastating with prior knowledge gathered from the Ebola crisis.

Hopefully we will do more to weather the storm.

It has already reduced in China, it will surely happen everywhere else as long as they do the right thing.

Europe is getting hit the more due to their ageing population, Africa is the youngest continent in terms of population age, maybe this is why we have not been too hit..

it could be bro....

if you really read about corona virus and the way it spreads....you'll know that living in a place like Lagos and having to use public transport it takes just God to avoid this thing

Nigerians love to panic generally.

Before the virus came in, Ehanire was always on TV assuring us. This was even in the thickness of Lassa fever. Even at that, majority still believe it to be a lie. That's why I say, we don't appreciate what they do. Ehanire works for FG sir, not LASG. We are conditioned to think negatively about efforts of the FG. Someone mentioned up there that it grows fast in Burkina. Burkina also have almost the same climate as Nigeria.

I'm not saying the FG have done splendidly, they haven't, they have lapses, but we shouldn't downplay the efforts of the FG like they have been doing nothing.

It's FG that owns NCDC, and I see Ehanire at different places, enlightening the populace. That's FG, not LASG. Because they use Lagos doesn't make the glory that of LASG

I don't blame ehanire...the man is doing the limit to what he can do...the SSG is a top shot in the system he barely dictates to the minister's I am sincerely angry with the president failure to close the border this new cases are all from high risk countries and had it been border was closed some would have been avoided and you can't even tell those that came in on Thursday yet because I am sure there will be likely suspect cases and mind some Nigerians might have as well contact this virus at the airport in their bid to travel back home from this high risk countries
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 6:42pm On Mar 21, 2020
Even in the US, the reported cases are far less than the actual cases. There are not enough tests available so not everyone is getting tested.

They are now setting beds in parking lots and warehouses to accommodate the number of people coming in. Hospitals are running out of supplies.

38% of people in intensive care in the US are young people.

20% are between 20-40... The second largest age demographic affected.

With our health care system, even young people that can ordinarily survive will not make it.
