This is a true story on Tuesday 17 of March 2020 I was preparing for a 6 hours trip for d next day , part of my last minutes preparation I decided to visit my Mechanic of of 15yrs just to have a final check on d car I wanted to travel with. As usual he ran all d test and said everything was ok but will advice I change d break pad since I wanted to move some items on a 6 hours trip .
I gave him d go ahead since he has always made sound judgments ever since I knew him, so he went ahead changed d pads confirmed everything OK called me to come pick the car and I did.
At first everything was fine
The next day I loaded d car set out for my journey its a 6hrs to and 6hrs back , as I left 1hr into the journey I started hearing this kind of screw jaming noise in the front drivers side, I was on 100 thank God I wasn't playing music or listening to radio if not I would not have heard d noise.
Knowing how safe our roads are especially lonely high ways it took me close to 15mins to sight a patrol station where I parked.
I opening my boneth thinking maybe something got stucked some where but I found nothing , I looked everywhere including d belts nothing and cos it was very early in the morning no mechanics around so I asked d fuel attendant how far is the closest petrol station she said 10mins so I decided to gamble it, I entered d car and drove this time I was on 40 meanwhile d noise came from same direction I drove straight to the petrol station as was described to me earlier this time I decided to checked d tyre to see if d mechanic left some , loo and behold d bolts were screwing off , I was shocked.
I called d mechanic he immediately apologized saying that after changing d pad he asked his boy to fit d tyre , so it must have been that d boy did not tight d bolts very well.
Hmmmmmmmm
The question is what if I was on 100 and playing music /radio and didnt hear that noise , the story would have been dangerous
Pls let's always pay attention to our mechanics / vulkanizers

Thank God for your life bro. It's always better to double check what these lousy mechanics and vulcanisers do.

If you can't supervise your technician during the period of work, always make out time to carry out a post work inspection.

I hope your round trip went well without any issues on the road.

Thank God your life and safety.

For me whenever I have anything done with the tyres, before driving off, I usually bring out the wheel spanner to refix the bolt if not done in my presence.

Do not entrust your safety 100% in other people's hands (No matter how good they are) sir, I trust my mech but I also double check the essential when car isn't fixed in my presence especially tyres and bolts.
