I can boldly say that Unilag has some of the best hostels among Federal Universities in Nigeria. No be beans say we are ranked number 1. 1 Like

Bigmama9ja:Boss, life is not that hard so I tend to basically see a joke in everything. The person that posted that picture is probably a first year student that doesn't know how far yet. By the time second semester hit am, he go know. Some condemning the hostels haven't even been in the four walls of Unilag but they now have an opinion 1 Like 1 Share |

ChybuzzDD:Thank you Sir.. Male Late twenties . Sexually active but last was more than 3 months A single partner Please Doctor what can cause one to have a feeling like something is inside someone's throat though no pain swallowing or difficulty breathing ? Or feeling like the food you eat is not well digested ? Secondly, what can this ? Looks like aftermath of a tiny cut that has dried up but it appears on my thigh, leg and hands which I peel off though doesn't cause any discomfort.

Integrator1:How long have you had this? Was it preceded by any incident, like swallowing of a fish bone or something? Have you done any investigations, like a barium swallow so far? Considering your age and the absence of pain/difficulty swallowing, I'll be thinking of esophageal candidiasis(but that's commoner in people with a background immunosuppression, eg HIV), and another is a condition called Globus Pharyngeus. This last condition can only be considered after you've been fully investigated and no abnormality is detected. It's more of a psychological problem, with symptoms worsening when there's anxiety. Most other conditions, which are numerous, would either cause painful or difficulty swallowing. I would like to hear more about your general state of health and presence/absence of other medical conditions. |

ChybuzzDD: As for my general state of health, I am fine , not feeling sick not noticing any more symptoms .. I read about HIV thread sometimes last year and ever since then I have been checking myself always , looking for symptoms and googling to get answers which prompted me to check myself and girl .. So any other questions sir ? And what test do you suggest I take again to properly check myself and know what exactly is wrong |

Integrator1: If your only complaint is the feeling of a lump in your throat, you can get a barium swallow done to rule out any pathological cause, but I think this condition, Globus pharyngeus, should be strongly considered. |

I don't believe this is a hostel that is probably orientation camp. Nigerian is not that stupid. Even my orientation camp in Umuahia Bendel is far better than what you call a hostel. Every where is neat but Nigerians na we like dirty environment, that is how corpers started messing everywhere up some will leave the toilet and shit in the bathroom without flushing it. Some will rander prefer to bath out than in the bathroom. Even if Nigerian should be turned to Norway or whatever you will still see some Mo..rons that will mess everywhere . Dirtiness is in our DNA period. |

Integrator1: You're welcome. Good to hear that I don't see the colour change from the healing rash as a problem. Skin colour changes called hypopigmentation(light discoloration ) or hyperpigmentation(dark discoloration) are normal accompaniments of wound healing arising from decreased production of melanin or destruction of the melanin-producing cells during the healing process. With time, the normal colour will be restored. |
