grossintel: why not calculate the cost of lithium or lead used in battery cells and see if this pipe dream is realistic, only nuclear powered grid countries can talk o of clean energy and we know few countries can boost of nuclear energy while most are crude gas turbine driven electricity if anyone thinks green energy is an alternative right now then he or she is badly stucked on propaganda |

iammo:You argue unintelligently, now you want to argue over the cost of lithium batteries, so most countries use crude gas turbines to generate electricity and oil isn't at $150 yet? Oga please shift. |

A country sitting on Gold, uranium, iron/steel and other precious metals and valuables yet mourning over drop in price of crude... I don't think God would forgive Nigerians on judgement day. How could you be blessed with almost everything but still live a lifestyle of someone who lacks everything? It's an insult to creation. 1 Like |

Now,what do we have here? Why are we here?So the Gospel of diversification been preached was all a ruse. The carelessness and non challant attitude of this present government is going to land this country in serious trouble. We are in a tight spot and very difficult situation now.We have got to tell ourselves the truth and be very pragmatic in what we do to salvage the situation. |

iokpebholo: I was not blaming past governments, but come to think of it, if 5 years is supposedly enough for full diversification of the economy (no other country has done it in such a short period, but let me humour you); then how many times over could your party have done it during its rule? Why didn't they? |

Lostz: Since you put it so politely, it is impossible to fully diversify in such a short period. Especially coming from the zero base left behind by you guys even after over 2 decades of rule. |

Lostz: If you didn't use the 6 times longer opportunity to diversify then you shouldn't criticise those who have the vision to do so. And Nigeria didn't enter into recession then despite the low oil prices because; unlike the present government; your party had just taken over from a responsible government with good fiscal and monetary policies and relatively lower corruption tendencies. After that, your party was lucky enough to feast on continuously high oil prices which could have been put to much better use for over 2 decades, but chose to hand over a comatose economy and a grossly mismanaged insurgency to the present government; which now gets all the blame. 1 Like |

RisenPhoenix:what about the first recession buhari took us into with his stone age policies? obasanjo actually took over a Nigeria in bad shape but was still able to steer it toward safety because of his policies and surrounding himself with sound educated brains. obasanjo only saw oil prices as high as 2015(when buhari took over) in only the last 3years of his tenure |
