MrStan11: I thought you guys were saying there was no coronavirus in Nigeria and it was an avenue of looting when the Italian man was announced. If the govt closed border at the time, you people would have raised your criticism. The problem of this country is the unhealthy opposition from PDP and their followers. They do not let people know the truth and give useful suggestions. |

See the public display of foolishness and senselessness. Buhari can be pardoned for his age. How many octogenarians could do what we ask him to do? This is one of the disadvantages of democracy. Once the majority prefers PMB to Atiku, there's nothing we can do. Argungun fishing is a local festival and there was less threat to human health, because as at then there was no confirmed case of coronavirus in the entire 19 States of the North. Now consider a 52-year old governor of a State closest to Lagos and Ogun States where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded - a graduate of engineering, a billionaire businessman (based on his N48 billion asset declaration), pressumed more knowledgeable, reasonable and modern. Is this a dancing time? When no provision had been made to position his state against the pandemic. The nearness of Ibadan to the Nigeria's epicentre of coronavirus - Lagos, should have triggered the sensible part of his brain, yet he could approve of a high risk COVID-19 musician at the campaign rally. I weep for my dear state. I'm afraid my vote for Makinde is a waste. Young man, I'm ashamed of you. Please think and reason like a 21st century breed. Lokoyen: |

persius555: They refused to close the border because they had family members outside. Height of selfishness. Buhari's daughter recently got back, did self isolation... twas after then they shut the border. They still haven't shut all airports, lag and abi is still open for obvious reasons. The day God provides us selfless leaders is the day Nigerians will see change. |

Only when Nigerians got their asses tested could we know the true state of the virus in the country. I'm suspecting around 500 corona victims already in Nigeria which will continue to grow as the virus spreads at exponential rate. |

IT IS QUITE UNFORTUNATE. THE STATE GOVT & DAVIDO DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR PEOPLE. ORGANIZING RALLIES & PARTIES TO INVITE THE DEADLY VIRUS TO OYO STATE IS HIGHLY UNPATRIOTIC. |
Re: Coronavirus: Oyo State Records First Positive Case by Bekool(m): 7:02pm On Mar 22, 2020 |
trueconscience: This virus is very real and spreading hundreds of nigerians might have even been infected and walking freely without even knowing that they are already infected. Here in warri a doctor friend of mine working in Chevron private clinic told me today that one of their patient has just tested positive to the deadly virus but no media outlet in Nigeria is carrying the news yet. |

pfadom: Your vote was insignificant, that is if you even voted. If ur dullard had closed airport to international flights early enough all these won't have happened. And who told you argungun is a local festival? A festival that had foreigners in attendance! Go and do your research before you display ignorance. |
