your above theory makes no damn sense, here is instead a clue about whats happening:
when there is a crash like that, only poor people lose money, the wealthy people just hang on to their stocks until it rises back again.... while the poor ones who have to sell sell sell to try and save their investments lose most of their money... and guess who is buying back all these cheap stocks that are being sold by the poor people?!?!?! you guessed right, the same WEALTHY PEOPLE out there, who will get even richer when the stock market will rise back to its normal state. yes, it will take some time for the stock market to be back on its feet but wealthy people aint desperate for cash (like the poor ones) so they can wait...
