3,4 di methyl, 2,3,4 tri ethyl pentane. The parent carbon is 5. While the methyl [CH3] attached to 3 and 4 parent carbon and ethyl [C2H5 attached to 2, 3, 4 parent carbon. I think I'm right, though it's been like 22 years ago I did Chem in my 100 level course . But organic chemistry was my best subject then.

From its C-C single bonds and 6 carbon chains, its a hexane belonging to alkane group, it remains to attach the other C atoms in branches and name accordingly.

3,5 di-ethyl, 4 propyl hexane.

oh sorry. What you called the longest (parent) chain isn’t pentane but heptane.

You look at the longest continuous chain.
I’ve alre done that, check my first post (the third comment) on this thread. You will see the pictorial analysis of the longest chain
