I don't believe in hell. The idea of an all-knowing god and that of hell are logically absurd. Not reasonable. Using the head and reason is my own philosophy; I discard anything that looks shady (like religious stuff) and unreasonable, has inconsistencies and contradictions, and is not reproducible. Hell, judgement, punishment for sin by a god, praying to a god are some of such things.

Yes, but its nature is unknown? I feel today's science is yet to make key discoveries on some fundamental aspects of nature. There are still some types of waves not discovered yet; the same thing applies to some types of energy.

For instance, can you give a scientific explanation to this question: How is a thought formed in the brain? It will be hard to do justice to the question, even using neuroscience, without delving into philosophy.

Some philosophers have classified our thoughts as a distinct type of wave. No objective fact on this as of yet in science.

Personally, I feel the ultimate destination of everyone (whether atheists, religionists etc), is our initial Source (First Cause, Beginning, Universal Mind). That's my own belief.

As with other things, one will rely on science to answer the big questions?
Does life have a purpose?
What is our source and what is our destination?
Why are significant portions of our universe made up of dark matter and dark energy, and only a tiny fraction is occupied by the ordinary matter (stuff we're familiar and interact with in our everyday life)?
Does time have a beginning and an end? And several others.

Science is more trustworthy and reliable to answer these important questions than religions. Ultimately, one learns to use one's Reason, Wisdom, and Intuition in these things as any entity (be it science or religion) that enjoys mass trust is prone to abuse.
